An OF capable of playing CF that has more than one season of control seems to make the most sense to me. Reynolds, Happ, Laureano, and Mullins have been the guys mentioned. But also Daulton Varsho still lurks as an option. Aside from that an elite RP works. And of course there's always the sellers' move of shipping out Urquidy or Odorizzi for prospects.
Apparently asking price from Tigers for Soto is very high because he has a few years of control. The Tigers are seeking multiple MLB-ready or nearly MLB-ready pieces according to Morosi.
Odorizzi for prospect: great Urquidy for prospects: lowers your chance of winning it all this year. Screw that
Ok, but you would hate that batting average of Soto I bet lol Tucker is on pace to basically go 30/30
Smith has been bad this year. But 2015-2019 he was one of the best RP in the league. Hopefully Houston is getting a lotto prospect along with Smith because that does not seem like a very good deal on the surface.
Hopefully our pitching coaches see something they can fix in him. He used to be really good, but has sucked lately. Too bad, I think we could have gotten a better return. No, definitely not a Castillo return, but better than a meh reliever who sucks.
