    Total agreement.

    He's going to get to 300 W if he remains an Astro. And the 4,000 Ks is not out of the realm of possibility, although much tougher than the 300 wins at this point. He would have to pitch 5 more seasons most likely.

    2022 21 W 247 wins
    2023 19 W 266 wins
    2024 17 W 283 wins
    2025 17 W 300 wins

    With 21 wins this season, he would place himself 50th all time in wins with Bartolo Colon.

    Next season he becomes the all time wins leader for any pitcher who started their career after 1991.

    Gurriel playing better and apparently when he bats 2nd, he does well. Went 2 for 4 tonight. Did Baker maybe solved Gurriel? Is Bell still top priority or does Click push that on the back burner and focus on OF/C first now?

    I know they badly want Yuli to turn it around, but it could be another hot streak that is followed by a cold stretch. Happened when we played the Nats in DC, and then again a few weeks ago. Gurriel has been great for us throughout the years but I'd love a 1B with a lot of thump and who instills fear in the opposing pitcher that he'll go deep. Yuli may not even reach double digit homers this year.

    Was looking at this last night, and you know he wants 300. The seasons lost to TJ loom large, unfortunately.

    Wonder if Crane and JV come to an agreement where JV takes less annually so the Astros can put a better offensive team around him to give him a fighting chance at 300 with a huge kicker for getting to the mark?
