You slapped someone hard as f*ck at the Oscars in front of millions of people. You're not going to be able to shake that one off. We saw your dark side. It wasn't pretty nor excusable really. Not really interested in watching any more of your films after that unfortunately. It's good that you are giving a more lengthy apology now, though. A little late...but good.

 

Exactly, where was this when he was partying the night of the Oscars? Why did it take 3 months for him to personally apologize? Basically, he is feeling the professional heat from this moment and now wants to make some sort of amends so he can try to get his career back on track.

 

Yeah it's questionable how sincere he is being too. I mean, this guy is an actor and a very good one at that.

 

Disagree. As a man, I can say that sometimes it takes me a while to see ****ups for what they are and work on them.

I don’t disagree that the jobs drying isn’t an extra motivator but I take his statement at face value. He’s always seemed like a very deep, self aware and reflective person. But every man has an ego and sometimes it takes a bit to rise above and see the truth.

Yeah maybe, but people act like everyone does stuff rationally. People do dumb stuff all the time... case in point. You never know what's going on in anyone's head. I think this was a sincere apology. I wonder if people would rather Will not apologize at all. He was going to get flamed regardless.

He said he tried to reach out to Chris Rock. A lot people would rather handle things man to man before going public. He probably wanted to give Rock time but felt eventually it needs to be addressed.

At the end of the day it was a dumb thing. He hit a guy for telling a joke he didn't like. And, he will probably lose some work over it. At some point I think it needs to be something between those 2 guys and everyone else moves on.

It's super weird that people are going to hold this against him as an actor and never watch his movies when people are still watching old Harvey Weinstein produced movies or old Kevin Spacey movies. It's like, not even in the same ballpark with all the other disgraced hollywood people.

Hell, I saw that guy who eats people in a movie this year.
