Bruno is physical, above the rim, high energy and super efficient player. https://www.tankathon.com/players/bruno-fernando Lack of length (6'9 barefoot and 7'3 wingspan) and turnover prone are his only real red flags. Looks switchable, good FT% and good roller/dunker/garbage man. If he can develop even league average 3ball he could be a hidden gem.
This the right thing to do for him and us. Hopefully he will catch on with us. His hustle will be contagious with the younger crowd making us better just having him in camp. My hope is his style of play becomes Rocket ball.
He fits perfect with out team, his length is ok but he is physical, and he looks quick switching to different players. We do not need 6'4 or 6'6 centers or backup centers. We need size and physicality for our interior defense, he is a perfect fit: Size: 6'10¼" Weight: 237 pounds Wingspan: 7'3¼" Reach: 9'2" Pro comparison: Montrezl Harrell Offensive strengths Fernando has an outstanding physical profile with 6'10" size and a 9'2" reach, plus a powerful, chiseled frame and 5.4 percent body fat.
Defensive outlook Though Fernando isn't a high-level shot-blocker (2.5 per 40 minutes), he can still be disruptive defending the basket. He's physical and long inside, and he plays with intensity. Fernando has also flashed glimpses of switchability in terms of moving his feet around the perimeter. He'll need time to build his awareness, but he has the potential to mirror Bam Adebayo defensively. Bam??? WOW!
Fernando will look to follow in Montrezl Harrell's footsteps by becoming one of the game's top energizers. He has the chance to be a force inside who can outmuscle opponents and play through them for dunks and putbacks. Fernando also operates with passion and motor, which will play to his identity.
From what we've seen of him, he brings aggression, hustle, and effort with an NBA-worthy body. Why only a 10-day, make-good deal? We need this guy!
I know it's going to make a lot of people on this site mad BUT Bruno looking better and FASTER than Sengun.
