I do think he ends up our back-up center to start the year. If Garuba can’t keep healthy he could end up off the team as early as next year. Coming into summer league with a beer belly and promptly getting hurt was a very bad sign.

He was better than Garuba by a huge margin going by the eye test.

wont be hard to trim the fat off that roster to 15. Hudgins, Boban and the other 3 guys we got from Dallas. Boom. Done. Tank season in effect. Bottom 3 finish assured.

Easy decision. Smart move. He plays big and damn does this team need that!

They need a real big who can play. This team needs a mentality change when it comes to size. Bruno & Sengun both play bigger than their listed size ( and should be fine) but we also need to get bigger overall. Not a fan of the Tate (6’4 forward) signing either & think we should have moved on.

I think we have plenty of time to find “that guy”. Right now we are trying to find our core talent group to build around. When we ready to contend we can pick “that guy” up in free agency when the time comes.

Signing Tate was a good deal. He gives us smart, scrappy play that we need in between our young talent. Somebody has to be willing to do the dirty work, Tate will do that for us.

I thought Christian Wood was going to be the next Loren Woods. Or maybe Loren Woods was Christian Wood 0.1.

We’ll see if thee front office figures out that their lack of size is an issue. We’ll agree to disagree on Tate. I love his effort but his lack of size and spotty jump shot will always be a limiting factor with him. He’s fine while they’re tanking but later we’ll need an upgrade.

    Likely cut
    1. Sterling Brown
    2. Trevor Hudgins
    3. Marquese Chriss
    4. Trey Burke

The last one is a toss up, but if Bruno a two-way probably can keep the below guys.
    5a. Boban
    5b. Gordon if trade comes
5c. Possible KJ Martin if an offer comes along.

Several of y’all don’t seem to understand the difference between standard NBA contracts and Exhibit 10/two-way contracts when it comes to trimming the roster.

Can't wait to hear endless whining about either him being cut after camp, playing in the gleague or just sitting on our bench.
