I think the A's have played good ball all month. Bit by bit the young players on that roster are finding themselves and have been playing quality ball. They're 9-10 on the month. Don't have much offense, but they've been hanging tough. They were pushovers up through June, but it isn't true any more. Of course, they still have that worthless tanking management, looking to hamstring the team so they can lose, lose, lose. But the team itself - very respectable.
I know it shouldn't go here, but two similar plays involving Boston center fielders here's the bad one but this is the one I like
Your good buddy Red Sox fan here. Been a while I look forward to you guys hanging 100 runs on us in a week from now.
Haha love the 59 min add. You’re right, it’s not horrible.. I guess I would think they would have less losses against sub.500 teams than teams over .500, but it’s not as stark as I made it seem, I apologize.
No. Correa at 820 OPS, Peña at 770. That’s not a huge chasm but it’s probably real. Correa seems like he has a little more plate decisions and better contact guy. He’s starting to run out of time to unlock what I believe is serious power he has in him, but he’s never going to hit 35 or 40 HR’s if he doesn’t start pulling the ball more. An Altuve or Bregman approach would be beneficial for him in my opinion but he seems more interested in hitting the ball up the middle or to right CF, which isn’t conducive for big time HR totals. I’m very pleasantly surprised by Pena’s iso
