I just never understood what the hype was about. Sure, he had offensive firepower, but he lacked the killer instinct and defensive skills to become a great player. He is the 2000's version of my beloved 'Nique. Great scorer, great ticket draw, does not make a club better. BEsides, who the hell does he think he is, T-Mac? Guess so. Seriously, he leaves, I agree we may lose the last Canadian team. We need to shutter it rather than sending it to....say Louisville or Norfolk. Too little talent, too many teams.
uhm yeah lets trade for a SF and a SG on a team that will possibly have kobe which means either carter or rose will be coming off the bench and that will happen indiana may trade for him, but with all the injuries in the recent years carters trade value has gone down considerably, but when he is healthy he is by far the most explosive and athletic scorer in the league...personally i dont care what team he is on but as long as he plays the season healthy is the VC of a few years ago
Or LV Hookers(in honor of Kareem's signiture move, who played in a place that's 6 hours away from Las Vegas, of course)?
Hmmm... I don't think you watch too many Toronto games... I definitely disagree with you there... he's the only player on that team that can create and score. Without him on the floor for Toronto, I honestly don't think they could win 5 games. After the all start break, he averaged something like 27/5/5... he played more games this season than Tmac, Ray Allen and Iverson...
oh... and to add to that.. the player that you were describing resembled more of Tmac this past season... no killer instinct... didn't play D... didn't make his teamates better...
LOL! Thanks for the support. Actually, unless something new has happened, this is not only old news, it's old and incorrect news. This guy is recycling the rumour started by Bill Harris, of the Toronto Sun, about a week and a half ago, which has been addressed and denied by Carter and the Raps GM, who have since met. What probably happened was, in the immediate wake of Babcock's hiring, Vince was peeved and probably expressed same to his agent, who relayed it to the Raps. Babcock waited for Carter to cool down, asked him to give him a chance, and Carter agreed. I don't know what could have happened in the past week to change that, especially as Vince is getting married this weekend ( today, I think) and would be highly unlikely to be demanding trades at the same time. Oh, well...we'll see.
