Relative to what we saw in that video I have no idea what year that was or his age and it does not matter because the poster was the one who claimed they were the same player based on that video.

I have never said what Smith is capable of on offense I have never capped his ceiling so I don't know why you went there, I am only going by what I have seen and how players have developed different things historically.

I really don't know where you are going with this?

At *worst*, Jabari is the connector draft pick that raises the ceiling of our core. He’s our Mikal Bridges, Draymond Green, JJJr, etc.

We’ll get Jalen Green’s robin in 2023’s draft. Drafting Scoot Henderson or one of the Thompson twins would complete our rebuild.

Summer League is definitely an indicator of future success. Still waiting on Donte Greene's HOF induction ceremony.

well if it's not a comparison between either of those two. and only what a 19 year old that has not even started his nba career by playing a single game. I would say under that context it's a pointless statement to make. again carry on though lol

I thought it initially said "man we got so lucky with Jabari" and I was like "yeah man" and liked the post without even reading it.

LOL. You can always find some stuff to negate any comparison.

When people say Jalen Green's ceiling is Corey Brewer, you can say, "Nah, Green will never be as disruptive as Brewer on defense."

... and then you can tell yourself, "I'm not like those fools on CF. I see reality the way it is!"

THIS is the kind of DOG mentality that Bari N Tari bring to the Rockets.

McGrady was more offensively talented than Artest (like some are saying about Paolo vs Jabari) but that DOG mentality cannot be taught or even learned.

Artest is still one of my ALL TIME favorite Rockets ever and he only played a season in Houston.

Less than a full season even.

Dickerson helped get us Francis. Turkcan got us a first round pick from the Knicks. Bryce Drew was the real waste in the trio of first round picks in 1998.

    Amen

At the time, I really though Ron was the perfect 3rd piece next to Mac & Yao to finally put us over the top

I feel the same way about Tari next to Green & Jabari

He's just that ultimate wildcard of pure competitive, aggressive fire that drive opponents crazy and wear them down by the 4th

Once this group develops into a playoff team, Tari is the kind of guy that's going to give a superstar fits over a 7-game series

Anybody playing that style gets out of control at times, but you are so right about it being impossible to coach that into a player

You either have it or you don't, and Tari has it in spades, just like Crazy Ron did

    Tari = Loco Peso ???

Maybe you were at the wrong court. Jabari is going to be good defensively, but offensively he's going to struggle. He's stiff and not explosive.

    Perfect response.
The insanity has to stop but won't. I thought it was crazy that morons were predicting green would be a role player at best after like 10 regular season games but the crazies decided that was too slow for green. Summer league and people are saying he will be mediocre at best. SuMMER LEAGUE!!!!

I did not watch basketball in 88 but I didn't mj won the defensive player of the year on merit alone. I always felt while he was good at defense, pippen was better
