I'm starting to think Boban was brought in to help Sengun adjust.

Sengun/Boban/Garuba is the depth chart going into opening tip off.

Boban will help Sengun with the whole Eastern European in America transition and for clubhouse chemistry. The job is Sengun's and we will grow with him as a team.

It might be a benefit, but he was not brought in for that purpose. He was trade filler and probably will probably be released. We have 19 guaranteed contracts. I’d be really surprised if they keep Boban. That roster spot is important to the Rockets. If they really value the PR or his leadership they could just release him and hire him as an assistant.

For sure to all above, but I think he sticks with the team for the points I mentioned.

I think that’s part of the reason he may be kept around, sure. I actually love the idea of keeping Boban this season. If you think about a Smith/Sengun/Garuba front court, what you really need is a defensive-oriented vet who is willing to play spot minutes. Boban fits that mold well.

Why didn’t we just keep Enes Freedom then?

Sengun does not need any adjusting to the USA.

No. He was brought here to not play basketball and be everybody's friend.

Boban I think is brought in because of Chemistry Issues (Christian Wood, Kevin Porter) Last Year now it's Porter only.

Got some Assistants Coaches also if Porter loses his Temper again, Boban can easily throw Porter out the Locker Room.

Bobon was brought in to help Sengun get stuff from the top shelf of his locker.

Boban was brought in to make every professional athlete in the locker room, feel inadequate as a man.

    Matt Bonner is 6'10'', btw.

Boban's minutes per game the last 3 years:

    9.6
    8.2
    5.6

In a team that values a spacing big, and is happy to go undersized, it may well be Boban's trend of declining minutes continues. If he sticks around, I'm fairly sure the purpose of it would be as a locker room guy, not necessarily as an on-court presence.

Let's not get in to the politics but let me put it that way, he changed his last name due to his father's comments on refusing him as his son cause he is a part of a terrorist religious cult. He does not count as a fellow countrymen.

How do you presume to know what the depth chart will be on opening night? Isn’t training camp still something like 6 weeks away? o_O
