I think he was only on their Summer League team, they have to sign him. He is a FA and has the opportunity to take the best offer. Hopefully Stone is looking but you know how they feel about players with size.
That's why I made that random thought of the day thread - for shiit like this. We have a similar thread on the Texans forum that is almost 400 pages long .... But people think they get more responses if they make a new thread, that may be true but half or more are complaining that it didn't deserve its own thread ....
He has nice jump shot. He doesn’t move like a 7 footer. He moves like a forward. If he can develop on the defensive end he could help out. He would be a decent 3 or 4
He is already good on the defensive end. He could guard all 5 positions. As I said before, he is the type of player that we wanted Christian Wood to be. The Rockets should snatch him up and send him to the G with Ty Ty and play out a full season.
Rockets can't add anyone to the roster until they clear off some contracts. I think they are maxed out on roster spots.
We had the MVP of the G-League last year and let him go without a second thought….why in the world would we give a $&@“ about a no-name summer league scrub who happened to make all his shots in one game??? News flash….there are no hidden Hakeem Olajuwon’s playing in the summer league!!!
He's a very unusual/unique prospect, I was kind of surprised nobody took a chance on him in the 2nd round. At 7'1", he has a very smooth J with fluidity and ball-skills. The problem is obviously his frame (which is even skinnier than Chet's), and it honestly will probably keep him from utilizing his offensive upside much outside of his 3-ball. But as a stretch big who moves well, I think he'll find a place in the league, assuming he works at it (and he adds any weight, for the love of god).
