Vague, foreboding and non-legally binding hints at accusations of conspiracies and elite bias play much better with the base.

If he'd actually defended himself and he was convicted, it wouldn't feed the cancerous growth of a chip on the shoulder that they are carefully crafting for all of the minions under their thrall.

Easier and more strategically fruitful to not play and the say the whole game was rigged after.

Counting down to the proliferation of the "well, he offered to testify in the end but the Beltway elites didn't care and were just out to get him from the beginning" argument.

I would go so far as to say Bannon is probably pretty thrilled with the way this went down. He'll get like 30 days in jail and do more damage to faith in our political institutions among his fans than anything else he could have done in those 30 days.

He was part of a violent mob seeking to kill the Vice President of United States, broke the law, and was found guilty of the crime.

It is sad for him and his family that he suffered from mental illness.

if he had minded his business and stayed home instead of storming the Capitol like a mindless drone, he would’ve been facing zero jail time

So not only is he a treasonous traitor he's mentally weak.

Can't do the time? Then don't do the crime.

The only appropriate song for a Josh Hawley-fleeing-in-terror montage:

DERSHOWITZ EXPECTS BANNON VERDICT TO BE REVERSED

That is not a fair jury, and Dershowitz goes on to say that the judge essentially left Bannon defenseless by not affording him a jury trial.

According to Dershowitz, this is unconstitutional and he believes that an overturn of Bannon’s conviction is very likely. Dershowitz recently told Greta Van Susteren of Newsmax:

Yeah he might have had skittles and an Arizona on him.

Or he could have been dealing loose cigs.

Or dating a suspected drug dealer.

Or eating ice cream in his apartment.

    Or passing a counterfeit bill.

Or asleep in his car and blocking a drive through.

    Or jogging.

If he killed himself over a charge that likely would have ended up with just a few weeks behind bars and probation he didn’t deserve to contribute to the gene pool.

I saw a video with this already, but it didn’t loop. Need a loop of showing that coward who is a disgrace to this country.

Bannon has no defense. He was trying to put the idea that the signatures from the January 6th committee were fakes. Lol

    He has zero defense.

Good luck with that. But, I guess if it is Alan Dershowitz commenting on Newsmax and being reported on Welovetrumpdotcom, it's pretty darn convincing.

Raskin says he’s ‘impatient’ with pace of DOJ’s Jan. 6 investigation

    https://thehill.com/policy/national...atient-with-pace-of-dojs-jan-6-investigation/

    excerpt:

Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) on Friday said he is “impatient” with the pace of the Department of Justice's (DOJ) investigation on the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol.

His comment came one day after the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack held its final hearing of the summer, which focused on former President Trump’s inaction during the Capitol riot.

Simultaneously with the committee's investigation, the DOJ has been conducting its own probe into the Capitol riot.

One key difference between the two, however, is that the DOJ has authority to press criminal charges, while the select committee’s mandate is to gather the facts, write a report and put forward recommendations to ensure that the riot does not happen again. Committee members have consistently punted questions regarding Trump’s criminal exposure to the DOJ.
