who needs a role model on the team when you have Donald Trump out there exhibiting all the things you want in a decent human being? Just have them read his bio and take a few courses at Trump U.
He's the one that called Luka a "b**** ass white boy" when the NBA had equality printed on the court and on the back of the jerseys in the wake of George Floyd, right?
Which totally explains OP's fascination and this thread. As for weed being legal in many states, it isn't legal in Kentucky, but it's only a misdemeanor if you have less than 8 ounces. Unfortunately for Montrezl, he had 3 pounds of it in his car. He's been charged with felony trafficking and faces up to 5 years. Even if he weren't facing legal issues, who needs a short center who can't defend the perimeter and plays no defense? This isn't 1975 anymore.
Kamala put thousands of minorities in prison for personal use mar1juana in CA where it is now legal and they still rot in prison , Trump pardoned some of these people. You are right, he does need Trump.
He was caught with 3 pounds in vacuum sealed bags and hit with a distribution / trafficking charge. Trafficking is not legal in any state. No to anyone who is under investigation for felony charges.
Harrell is not needed here. It’s like paying to bring in issues. Roster is full of youth and potential development of rotation worthy to all star players. We don’t need anyone that takes away from that: playing time, cap space, roster spots or character issues. ALL cap space needs to be positioned to retain the rookies as they come off rookie scale. Hopefully two at a time for consecutive season because that means the development worked and we will benefit from it for years to come. Otherwise the winning window is short. (OKC & Harden)
Man, I did not know about Harrell's drug charges. Risking a multi-million dollar NBA career, in a contract year no less, for three pounds of weed is bad enough. But to do this in this day and age, when there are many ways to obtain the drug legally, is way beyond stupid.
Yeah you're a idiot. A bunch of dumb stereotypes in this post. Harrell has had a pretty solid career after being drafted by us awhile back. Hopefully he'll continue his way with a more veteran roster
Stereotypes of what exactly? Stupidity is cross-cultural, and so is making mistakes you blame on others. Sounds like you just got mad and said some words that comfort you.
I’d rather sign brittney griner, then Keith jones could give her a sex change , and then she could legally change her name to donatas motiejunas
Thank goodness for posts like this. If its in the top 5 threads, I know at a glance that there is no news or worthwhile discussion going on
First off, a useless player wouldn't be in the league as long as Montrez. Second getting caught with weed isn't stupidity. He doesn't care he's a millionaire. Dumb take all the way around
Don't change the subject. Where's the stereotype? Tons of players smoke weed, only once in a blue moon does someone get caught. What do you think that is? Who do you want to blame? Luck? The league? The police? lol Where's the stereotype?
You’d be shocked if you knew the percentage of the players in the NBA and NFL who smoke weed. Many on our favorite teams. Harrell was dumb and got caught. Forgiveness can get you a sixth man of the year candidate for the league minimum. Remember that the NBA is a business (e.g., China) first league, not a charitable organization.
No I wouldn't be shocked at all, I'm completely aware and an advocate for complete legalization both in the NBA and the world. But you really have to be stupid to get caught with that much as an NBA player as a free agent. You never have to carry that much on you, ever, not as an NBA player and not as a non-NBA player. As you said, there are a ton of players who do it and 0.1% of them get caught. This is not bad luck. It's not the fault of statistical misfortune. It's not the fault of the cops. It's not the fault of the government that he had that much weed on him. It's just a stupid choice. Just like people who drive drunk citing "What are the chances I'll get caught? I feel fine anyway" it's just a stupid choice. If he were my friend, I'd feel sympathy for him and tell him right to his face he's an idiot for doing it. Who else's fault is it?
Agree 100% with you….he’s a moron of the highest level and dumber than a bag of rocks but that doesn’t mean he can’t be a valuable asset for us for years to come as a basketball player. KPJ is no more of a saint than Montrezl and has about the same IQ but most of us are thrilled he’s here and we appreciate his basketball skills but don’t endorse much else with his lifestyle. John Lucas is fixing him (when he’s not having stuff thrown at him) and he can help fix Harrell, who could benefit from his tutelage. If not, then cut him after a wasted season which nobody seems to care about anyhow. Trust me that he won’t do any more damage than bad attitudes KPJ and Wood did last year to the young players….if he does then it just meets everyones goal of more losses this year.
