I already know what to expect without watching any promo. - hard to understand dialogue sound mixing - convoluted story that requires 17 screenings...yet still feeling confused. - everyone proclaiming Nolan is BRILLIANT.
Please tell me that this is about when "they" go back in time to visit Oppenheimer and see if he can figure out Tenet.
This could be really good. So far, treatments of Oppenheimer in film have been a bit ham-handed. I hope this one captures the man more, for he was one of the most interesting figures of the 20th century. I suspect quite a bit of attention will be given to the FBI investigations and his Atomic Energy Commission hearing that led to his security clearance being revoked.
Interesting, I don't see how you get a Nolan movie from the subject matter. Maybe he is making a turn and doing something different. Not much action you can get from the story unless you "reimagine" it and that would be a travesty. After looking at the teaser maybe it's a mind's eye point of view but that does not carry a movie IMO. Great cast.
Yes, it's a great cast. I'll watch it because I have a long standing interest in the topic, but will wait until it's streaming somewhere. Spoiler heck, I might watch it in a theatre if Emily gets naked and isn't dying from radiation poisoning
Oh, I think a good director could do a lot. In many ways, Oppenheimer's life is a reflection of the American Empire--built on science and initiative, crumbling because of prejudices and the forces that empire let loose. I hope we end up with a Patton for this generation.
