Netflix has premiered the teaser trailer for its live-action zombie drama series “Resident Evil” which adapts the hit video game and film franchise. The story unfolds in both 2022 and 2036 – the latter period fourteen years after a deadly virus caused a global apocalypse. Jade Wesker (Ella Balinska/Tamara Smart) fights for survival in a world overrun by the blood-thirsty infected and insane creatures. In this absolute carnage, she is haunted by her past in New Raccoon City, by her father’s (Lance Reddick) chilling connections to the Umbrella Corporation, but mostly by what happened to her sister Billie (Adeline Rudolph/Siena Agudong). Andrew Dabb (“Supernatural”) serves as showrunner on the series which is quite separate from last year’s “Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City” feature film. “Resident Evil” will debut globally on Netflix on July 14th. https://www.darkhorizons.com/trailer-netflixs-resident-evil-series/
I was kinda "meh" on the first episode. Will still probably get bored and watch the second episode. Hope it gets better.
I must be subconsciously comparing it to past Resident Evil productions because I like it. One of the main characters is toxic AF, but besides that, not much to complain about.
Terrible waste of time. If they just removed anything RE about the show it may of stood a decent chance.
Netflix’s “Resident Evil” Series Cancelled After One Season https://bloody-disgusting.com/tv/3729258/netflixs-resident-evil-series-cancelled-after-one-season/
Somewhere out in the multiverse there exists an actually good RE movie or series. It's amazing they took all the potential of it and have just repeatedly churned out crap.
I checked out on the series after the third episode, just wasn't very good..... Capcom should have let George R. Romero make his adaptation back when it was discussed after he'd directed a live action commercial for RE2.... https://www.slashfilm.com/929364/the-incredible-resident-evil-movie-george-a-romero-almost-made/
