After a partial offseason of reflection, the current adjective I would use is:

    Adequate

He’s a great and fun announcer!!! Didn’t think anyone could salvage the crew without Worrell, but Hollins has been wonderful!!! Worried he’ll get plucked by the national media and leave Houston.

    He's a hype guy.

You will appreciate him more when we are 50 win team.

Thanks Ryan, as well, for taking my advice about Christian Wood last year. It meant alot and you did a great job!!! Showed you were humble and willing to make adjustments to improve the quality of your broadcast.

    He's better than Matt Bullard.

I don’t know why but Hollins being currently active in the big 3 makes me like him a little more.

yeah Hollins doesn't give the greatest commentary but he went on a tour of some podcasts to beat the narrative for Jalen. I liked him for that. He has more juice off the court than Bullard.

He's ok but no one has been better than Calvin Murphy.

He has potential...as long as he continues to hype us up he can stay. Lol

any Hollins hate needs to stop…you’re just forcing at this point

he is a definite improvement over Matt Bullard who was the equivalent of a piece of processed cheese for breakfast

I don't mind the manufactured enthusiasm, because hey, it's a sports event. Enthusiasm is welcome.

What I don't like is that (at least during his rookie season) he feels compelled to fill up every second that Ackerman isn't talking. He needs to let the game breathe a little bit, no suffocate it. If he can do that, I'll be 100% on board.

I'd prefer someone with more ties to the organization or city. Hollins isn't bad at what he does, he'd be great doing UCLA games because he is a genuine fan of that team. I just don't get why the Rockets would bring in an outsider.

He's mediocre but definitely agree he's better than Bullard (which isn't saying much)
