KPJ is possibly the most talented player on the roster at this moment (not highest upside, I think Jalen is that guy) but he still has ways to go on the mental side of the game. He's still way too erratic finding a scoring/distributing balance, but to be fair, he's learning to play the hardest position in basketball. Right now, I rank them like this: Green, Porter Jr., Sengun, and Smith Jr. Jabari will probably end up 2nd by season's end, this kid's defense alone makes him that.
I think Smith is going to take time developing and will do exactly what he was drafted for this year. Play good defense and hit open jumpshots. Green is a shoe in. Kpj and senguin have the next 2 highest potential to be in this category. Eason is my sleeper pick.
Bring Caruso home! He's correct so much talent now it's about putting it all together. Remember those plays the Fuhrer would run with Scola when Chuck Hayes was playing center. Would love some of that for Jabari, even more dangerous with Sengun at Center. Jalen KPJ Gordon Sengun Jabari Gordon is your third best player
A majority of the folks on here thinks he's alright. Man isn't putting up that much, and is learning how to play pg (debatable how successful that is). There's delusional folks on both side of the spectrum that crowns him the best of the team (boobythegreat and more) or the guard version of Christian wood who isn't good whatso ever (king1 and more. I think on one side kpj haters have a bias on him based on past behavior and folks that crown KPJ the best just doing it to spite green folks, and other miscellaneous reasons. Either way i still think KPJ b moved to the sixth man role if we find a superior guard who has better court vision, that or he ups his scoring to compensate.
I pretty much agree with this analysis. I actually think long term the team as it is being constructed will benefit from Ty Tys play style as the future point guard. But I still feel like giving KPJ another full season is the correct approach. He has barely played point guard and he looks great sometimes.
Best & most important are two different things At this stage I think we need to presume who'll be the best in 2 years when we are going for the playoffs. Probably looks like this Jalen Jabari Alperen Tari KPJ KMJ JayGup Tate TyTy Nix Mathews Usman
So many ClutchFans are leaving Eason out of the top five. I wouldn't undersell this guy. I know it was just summer league, but he was fantastic.
I mean I didn't include Eric & you're asking about Boban? Neither will be here in 2 years is my guess
I think it is Green Porter Gordon Jabari Smith The best thing about our team is our talented GUARDS and our new length(Jabari and Tari). We are going to be a better defensive team and a better 3 point shooting team with Gordon and Jabari....I cannot wait for the new season
Well, since this question can't be answered until May of next year and free agency has pretty much ended already for the Rockets it's time to go into Basketball Hibernation until October when Pre-Season starts up. Im gonna go find another hobby until then.
I think by the end of this season we will be able to know the order of who our best players are .. especially with a bunch of the dead weight gone ! This is a huge season for us from a developmental perspective
