Because coming up the Astros, and most people that watched him, agreed that Meyers was really good defensively. The Astros tolerated inconsistent offensive ability waiting for his bat to catch up with his glove, which was his primary value.

I know clutchfans think Meyers is a train wreck, but all of the Astros actions suggest they disagree. They dumped a solid rookie CF just to get him there.

Well, there's 2 different ways to read that statement, not sure which one Jesus is endorsing.

Have you seen Tucker play center? He’s a butcher out there.

Siri would be an all star with a .725 OPS. The reality is that he bats .178

Just noticed that the comebacker that Odo boxed was ruled a hit also. Both totally ridiculous.

Bregman is at his best when he never makes contact with the ball.

Yea since the beginning of June his OPS is only in the mid 800s, no other team has a cleanup hitter that awful

It’s amazing we ever win any games at all huh

Who said he was a train wreck? He was not a defense first prospect. He was brought up just as much for his bat. He was decent in center last year but he has never looked like our best defensive option in CF. Im all for him starting but he is not our best or 2nd best CF right now.

I watch probably 95% of the games in their entirety. Ive seen it all. While Tucker is scary in CF, so is Jake right now.

Bregman's OPS is about .200 points better than Tucker's over the past month
