My wife and I went to see the documentary Facing Nolan. It was cool seeing the ups and downs of his career and how his wife always had his back. 9out of 10.

watched the original Westworld. Hadn't seen it since I was a kid. Dated but fun to think about Michael Crichton directing it himself. Maybe a 7/10. Hard not to compare it to the Westworld series.

Also watched a film called Savannah, about a market duck hunter named Ward Allen who protested changing game laws around the turn of the century. Stars Jim Caviezel and Chiwetel Ejiofor, not the greatest film of all time but worth watching. Maybe 7/10 as well.

The kids dragged me to watch the new Minions movie. 7/10. They enjoyed it alot.
To me it was the same boring typical story of retrieving some powerful gem that was stolen.

The Virtuoso on hulu. Movie was a 4/10. Sad cause it had Anthony Hopkins. Age has taken a toll. The plus side of this movie was Abbie Cornish shows her ta-tas. Would recommend.

    Thor, 8/10, enjoyable ride.

Edit: Specifically Thor: Love and Thunder, just to avoid confusion.

Jay and Silent Bob, Reboot. 8/10 for what it was, self deprecating silliness. I wasn't aware this movie had been made but it easily became my favorite in the entire series. Great cameos that remind you that the 90s was a long time ago =(

“Bite” - May be the most disgusting and goriest horror film I’ve seen. 7 out of 10

rewatched The Secret Life of Walter Mitty following a suggestion in the Ben Stiller thread, think I liked it more now than when it came out. Holds up well. maybe 8.5/10, possibly a bit more. Cinematography is beautiful, and I hadn't realized previously that he directed it.

Whiplash - never saw it until the other night. I was killing a little time before heading to bed and I stumbled across it, and then I couldn't turn it off. Stayed up way too late but anywho - great movie! Simmons was fantastic and definitely deserved the Oscar.

    The Man From Toronto

Not going to rate it because honestly, it has Kevin Hart. I like his schtick and this movie is full of Kevin Hart doing Kevin Hart things...along with Woody Harrelson trying his best to even out Hart's silliness. I liked it...but then again, I like Will Ferrell movies, Spaceballs, Hot Shots, Airplane, Caddyshack, Blazing Saddles and the Amazing World of Gumball. Predictable plot...but if you enjoy Hart's humor, you'll most likely like this movie.

Not a movie, exactly, but if you like Westerns and you like gunplay in Westerns, you might enjoy this:

Yep, my favorite Gene Hackman shootout ends with:

"I don't deserve to die like this."

"Deserve's got nothin to do with it."

I watched Operation Mincemeat last night, thought it was well done. Fairly faithful to the historical facts, aside from the fabricated love story between Colin Firth and Kelly Macdonald. Also not sure about the connection to the "anti-Hitler" plot as suggested in the film, but I suppose that added some drama. Worth watching, 7.5/10

rewatched Blade Runner last night of all things. It's been well over 20 years, maybe even 30 years since I've seen it, meaning I've never seen the Final Cut version. Still a bit slow, fought back some yawns in the middle, but overall it holds up pretty well and is clearly still an artistic masterpiece. But surprised at my own scoring for this, 8/10 which feels low to me but I don't see it as a 9. But again holds up very well for a 40 year old film

Why is every action movie that releases through Netflix so bad? I've never watched one. I just see the terrible reviews.
