I have been a huge Stiller fan since Zoolander, I liked him in Mary but after Zoolander I was hooked. He has a great IMBD, I think he is underrated as a all-around talent. He was in one all-time great Comedy Mary and wrote and directed another in Zoolander. And now he is an award winning drama director. My favorite projects of his are Something about Mary Zoolander Dodgeball Tropic Thunder Ben Stiller show.
I don't think he's an all-time great...but I do think he's great. He is fantastic at delivering lines. Plus he's generally pretty funny.
TBH, I think Ben Stiller's dad was a lot funnier. But Ben's movies are all really enjoyable and rewatchable. I guess I would label him "just a guy" who's really good at what he does... sort of interchangeable with Steve Carrell these days...
Reality Bites, Zoolander, and Tropic Thunder are great movies. The guy isn't an all-time great, but pretty good.
He's also a pretty good director. Directed the amazing Severance on Apple+ along with several of his own movies.
There is plenty of room between "all time great" and "just a guy". I'd say he's pretty excellent but doesn't make it into the upper echelon of all time great comedic actors. Like...you can be an All-Star without being a Hall of Famer.
No idea. But when I have seen interviews of him he's never funny. So weird because he's hilarious in the movies.
He is awesome, he has been in so many movies I lost track until I looked it up.............The Heartbreak Kid is underrated, its friggin hilarious
