Spoiler they showed in a previous episode Fring hiding it down there on one of his visits to tour the facility
I gotta watch that episode again, I kept getting interrupted dam it.........from what I saw it was good
Did they explain why he hid it down there? Seems like a random thing to do where someone could just find it.
I think they were talking about Lalo being alive at the time he hid it. I think it just demonstrates Gus beng paranoid and thinking 10 steps ahead and covering every possibility. Spoiler LOL, he even unplugs the extension cord and counts the steps to the excavator/gun.
Of course chekov’s gun would come into play… I do like the fact that despite we know what’s going to happen (Gus lives, Mike lives, Saul lives), they still are able to keep you on the edge of your seat.
Spoiler This. Mike alluded to this throughout the season, he said "we need home court advantage" and "it's not going to go down the way you think." The lab was Gus' home court, in a situation where it was him and Lalo, one on one down there, Gus would have the drop on Lalo. Lalo's mistake was taking Gus down to the lab that Gus knows inside and out, and Gus had anticipated a showdown at the lab, which is why he had the gun planted, and put himself in a position where if they were both there and he could get the place dark, he would know how to reach the gun and blast Lalo.
Dang, watched both eps and didn't expect that. They did a flip and landed a perfect 10 with that character. Title of Season 6 Episode 7: "Plan and Execution" Those gais.... The details on this show go woosh sometimes. I was wondering for a bit why Lalo flipped his **** in the middle of the phone call to Tio...it's been a while since I've watched gangster movies where the characters get all paranoid with phone "clicks".
Pretty slow episode but we find out about Kim and we get the flash forward for the series to what is likely the Breaking Bad timeline. Any idea how far they moved forward in time? Expecting the last 4 episodes to have the feel of Breaking Bad episodes. Disappointed there wasn't some sort of tease with Jesse or Walter White in Saul's office at the end.
I assume they've left the BCS timeline for good. I wonder how long they will spend in the BB timeline before going to the Gene timeline.
I would guess this next episode is in the breaking bad timeline, it seemed like the morning Saul met Badger. There isn't much to resolve there, just gain some perspective. And then the final 3 would be fast forward to Gene (and Kim).
I kind of got the feeling that episode 8 was like the "real" finale of BCS and episode 9 was the epilogue. And that the last 4 episodes are more about filling the gap between Breaking Bad. Most of the episode takes place in June 2004. After the time jump, Jimmy's license plate tags expire in November 2005 and his handicap tag expires in November 2008. Saul first met Walt in December 2008 I did check Jimmy's outfit against what he wore the first time he met Walt and it wasn't the same. Not the same as when he was with Badger either.
