Silas does get credit for working on Stephs handle training iirc He doesn't need to have sick handles though, he's got monster hands like MJ and Kawhi to control the ball and a lot of Giannis in traffic handles aren't needed even because he takes such massive strides and all he has to do is hold the ball for those 2 giant strides to the basket. Bari doesn't have those massive hands or strides or wingspan. He's just gotta work, that's all. It might be his confidence right now and that's not something you want to hear with the Kwame relation, but at the same time Kwame had baby hands for his size so there could be a relation with that and you hope that's not the case either(are there measurements for Bari's hands?). For me, I'm not expecting Giannis or KD or none of that. I will be 100% satisfied with his game if he is our 6'10 Klay who doesn't have to do much but reset dribbles. Not all of your picks need to be top 20 GOATs. Green can develop as the #1 and if we hit on Wemby or Scoot next year, they can be 1B. Bari will be great luxury if at his peak he's your #2 guy/Klay role.
Jabari is 6’10, he doesn’t need to cross anyone up. Just turn your ass to the basket and back them down…poof, handles problem solved.
Haha, whatever it takes. His dribbling is fine, it’s just in his head right now. But even if he gets it corrected, he’s not gonna be quick enough to get around anyone with a crossover when faced up. All dudes that tall get around people with their strength and then just elevate. Being that tall will cause you to get ripped with your crosses and crab dribbles. So Jabari needs to throw it out of his bag and just back people down like magic, the glove etc.
I remember 2 weeks into last season how some posters here were saying that Green had no handles, was a bust, and didn't even look like he belonged in the NBA. Haters gonna hate and dummies gonna dumb.
Who said Trevor Ariza is his ceiling? I think he is already better than Ariza, why must you guys always go to the extreme to deflect?
I've got 6 words for y'all. Alperen Sengun and Jabari Smith Jr. That's all you need to know about our frontcourt. Go enjoy some YouTube highlight of Alperen Sengun and think to yourself, he's gonna be better and stronger this year. Then come back and look at those 6 words again and tell me you don't feel a smile creep across your face.
EXACTLY what I'm talking about. The benched Lamb and Eason got the rebound and then the dunk. Thank you coaches!!
His defense is next level. What Chet does with his 13 ft arms in the paint, Jabari does out on the perimeter and can handle himself in the paint too.
I'm not fully convinced Evan Mobley is a better NBA defender than Jabari Smith. Dude really clamped 3 dudes on one play.
