Looking at a couple of fantasy sites they seem to think the the Texans will be more of a run first team. I know you want to establish the running game to open the passing game and vice versa. I just don't see a lot in the Texans running game and looking at the ranking the fantasy sites don't either.. Mack was good not great in 2018 and 19. Pierce I'm hoping for the best and is a long term solution at RB, but he's a rookie and his college work load leaves some questions. Burkhead is a nice fit in a limited roll and lets hope it stays that way. Hopefully the o-line is improved and stays heathy.
Definite valid concerns..training camp less than 2 weeks away can’t come soon enough. Looking forward to TC reports on individual players
If the ol can stay healthy the run game will be improved as well as the rest of the offense. Health is key because depth is lacking not only on the ol but throughout the team.
Houston Chronicle tomorrow: Tuesday, July 19th, 2022 "Texans cut RB Darius Anderson after arrest. Anderson never played a game for the Texans and was on their Practice Squad last December. He previous played with the Indianapolis Colts"

Not sure why Jimmy G would want to sign up as a career backup to Davis Mills? With that bit of sorta sarcasm, adding a player of G's experience/ability is not a bad thing. If Mills is able to fend him off, the Jimmy becomes a trade chip for contender with a QB issue. Key to considering any of this is cost to acquire him. If it's for a 3rd or lower, I'd pull the trigger and let them compete for the #1, competition breeds excellence... or at least a competitive environment.
This is based almost solely on personal opinion rather than any legitimate sources, they’ve been trying to will Jimmy G to Houston this whole offseason
