Actually, I was thinking Leonardo Dicrappio as Tron and Bill Gates as Dillinger for starters. LOL

that's impressive that they did all the work to get it to look as good as it does. its still kind of cheesy looking. not bad, not great. not trying to rag on it.

Yeah I was pissed off to hear about the Cutting Edge 2. What complete BS. And I'll be even more pissed if they try to pull some crap like that with Tron.

The only way a Tron sequel would work is if they gave it a T2 treatment, ie let the original director do his thing.

Now that I think about it, I think it should rely heavily on a new lightcycle design where it has pedals and then Lance Armstrong would play one of the lightcycle racer dudes...maybe Flynn. I think the same people who made "Speed 2" should make the new Tron. I want to be the voice of "MegaByte". "Bit" is no longer needed in this new film.

I watched it last night also. It was a blast from the past. Also, I vaugely remember having the "lightcycle" toy.

I have the remastered dvd too. Anyone watch the "making of" special feature? Cool stuff. I originally saw it at Almeda Mall theater when it came out. :D

I remember watching Tron as a kid growing up. Every time I saw the scene where they stop after the tank chase and drink that fluid from the river with their discs, and then their whole body glowed. As a kid, I wanted to drink that stuff so bad. I always imagined it must taste like the best stuff in the world.

I would like to note that the verbage I used to describe this stuff has set me up nicely for any slew of sexual jokes at my expense. Hopefully this takes a little wind out of your sales. :)

Of all the stories that have been brought back in recent years, this is the one that would be totally awesome to be remade. Last Starfighter with current gen cgi, sign me up.
