Completely unsurprising to anyone who doesn't base their thoughts on Elon's twitter feed.

Unfortunately for Elon, he did sign a legally binding deal where he stupidly waived due diligence and it's not going to be so easy to get out of. I don't know that I can see anyone forcing him to actually buy a $40B company, but if he does get out of it, he's going to have to pay many billions of dollars and come to an agreement with Twitter - his $1B out-clause isn't going to cut it. And that's ignoring the various shareholder lawsuits and SEC disclosure issues he's facing. This saga isn't remotely over.

He's a genius in many ways, but a complete idiot in so many others. His ego got sucked into his MAGA-fawning-over-him obsession.

Worth asking about all the dumbasses that believed Musk's every word ... what kind of credibility do you actually have in anything you post? How easy is it to manipulate you on any topic and what does it mean about your belief system and gullibility in general? All the facts were in front of you and the reality was clear, yet you ignored it to believe what you wanted to. How many other people and ideas have you believed based on similar stupidity? @tinman @Commodore @AroundTheWorld @Space Ghost @MojoMan

LOL now this guy is back, so predictable.

Self-proclaimed "financial expert" Major, one of the most pathetic posters here. Likes being a leech but thinks he can lecture those who actually help pay for him to be able to spout his vitriol.

    Typical leftist.

You put your own ass in your mouth when you tried to speak to this topic early on this story. One might have thought you would have learned something from that experience. Obviously not.

You are so eager to run your mouth, you have failed yet again to examine this situation and think about it a bit. If you think this is over here, get ready to think again.

You are just not a very fast learner, clearly.

So the man sells a significant amount of his TSLA shares between $1100-$1000 to buy Twitter. Regardless of his intentions, he can now buy those shares back ~$750.

We can all speculate, but the reality is, he is sitting better than he was 3 months ago.

    Indeed, bad businessman.

    Oof….

Elon made a bid for Twitter at the peak of the market. Hard to twist this into anything positive for Elon.

    Typical Elon-stan.

These dumbasses: muhuhuhaha we are owning you by Elon Musk owning Twitter - you are so owned!

These dumbasses 3 months later: muhuhuhaha we are owning you because Elon Musk is going to find a way to not own Twitter and only pay $1 bln break-up fee - you are so owned!

So says the person that actually thought Musk could and should fire a Twitter employee because he said he owned it. Forget actually needing to own it - you literally believed that Musk saying something made it true. Think for a second how stupid do you have to be to end up in that place? Every view you have from now on will be asterisked with "believed by the most gullible and easily manipulated person on Earth".

This is simply the most perfect thread out there to expose your sheer lack of understanding of ... well, anything. You should take a little look at your previous posts in this thread for a hall of fame of wrongness.

If you read my post, you'd see that I said it wasn't over. I literally said - and you quoted - "This saga isn't remotely over.". How bad is your reading comprehension?? Twitter will take Musk to court, and Musk will likely be forced to shell out many billions of dollars - then it will be over.

You are a loser and you know it. Anyone can spout off on a message board. But you have been displaying your bitterness and cluelessness here for 20+ years.

Elon Musk will get away with it because his business is too important and he is filthy rich and powerful rich people get away with everything easy. Public is still too stupid to realize that laws for the general public do not apply to these folks. Dummies continue to be dummies.....

Like a lot of people with inherited money...Elon is not nearly as smart as he thinks he is and has likely never been told no before.

Anyone born into his situation could be as wealthy as Musk is now with even the most rudimentary understanding of how the world works. Like Trump, Musk is what a teenage boy (or apparently middle aged men) think what a rich person is.

"OMG if I was rich I'd post on twitter all day and have a gold toilet..."

    Lel wot?

You're commenting on something youre clearly clueless on.

He has not inherited any money. He is estranged from his father. Him and his brother had to cobble up 26k to start their first venture.

Yes, he was fortunate to be born into a family that valued education and was able to provide some of the best education.

I am not sure how you are even remotely comparing him to Trump. One has numerous failures with millions provided to him by his family. The other has raised the money himself with most of his businesses very successful.

By your logic, anyone with 26k can be the wealthiest man alive.

    The comments you people make....
