    How's he soft if he's taking the challenge defensively. He's just not skilled enough to be this go to scorer/playmaker and needs good guard play to succeed as he develops his game through these early years

    Keep in mind that Jabari has a whole new team of coaches in his ear and he's processing a ton of info right now. Coaches probably told him, "Go out there and let it rip and we'll analyze the film session after. But we need content, so just go out there and shoot your shot."

    I watched Smith all year last year, multiple games. Never saw him shoot like this. He is pressing. He has got to relax and settle in. May take several games. He may not look like an elite shooter, but he is. His shot is flat tonight. He normally has a high arc. Don't panic; he will get in his grove. He is doing other things well.

    He can't dribble and finish; those are facts.

    He can shoot and his shot will be back. We just drafted a 2nd/3rd option role player with good defense basically.

    You won't ever have to worry about him caring. He could have a few months where his shot is off this summer league/pre season/ and beginning of season, but it will come eventually. He is going to be an exceptional player/piece for a team to make them elite. If there are the right players on the team. Jabari will be the guy that takes you from being a 50-55 win team to a 60-64 win team.

    At pick 10 that's fine. At pick 3 that's not fine.

    The expectation is for Jabari to be essentially LaMarcus Aldridge with more range and better defense. Not taller Ariza.
