    Derek Bell was one of the most frustrating players to watch, as Dierker stuck with him in the lineup. They probably went to the Crystal Pistol together after the games.

    He had a couple of good seasons with us but overall I always thought he was a shitty cleanup hitter. Bagwell and biggio in front of him helped his rbi totals but he shoulda had more.

    The worst part of signing Swindell and Drabek was that there were four big time free agent pitchers that off season. Those two and Maddux and Cone. We picked the worst two. I am sure it had to do with the Houston ties for the two we picked, or picked us may be a better way of stating it.
