I saw Clint Capela running at Memorial Park on Wednesday. Stuck out like a sore thumb. He was wearing Hawks gear (naturally).

Some of you chubsters are going to have to pound the pavement to find rim protectors.

Play with Sengun and let the team make up the difference. Martin has had some highlights at the rim. Now we have even more talent & better coaching, it will happen organically.

No matter how clear it is that a traditional center isn't necessary people will still whine about it.

You need a center on the roster for situational stuff, but the best playoff lineups are consistently absent a traditional big.

The warriors are the exception because they have 2 superstars who can shoot it from anywhere. Don’t cookie cut the warriors that their small ball is the key to success. Later you continue to wonder why the rockets are the worst defensive team in the nba. Because they lack a big who can rebound and protect the rim. We have a team of ball hog wings, don’t equate that to curry and klay with a undersized green in the middle…. Every other playoff team utilize a rim protector with success

It is really tragicomic that people still madly worship the "rim protector" crap.

The league's best "rim protector" was kicked out of his team a few weeks ago.

Who was at the center of the team that won the championship this year?

Nemanja Bijelica and Kevin Looney? God, they're only 6 ft 9 in.

Forget the "Rim protector" bs, if it really worked, the Utah Jazz would have kept Gobert instead of Donovan Mitchell. Or Mitchell Robinson would have already owned a ring by now.

    Stop this.

Jalen Green and Jabari Smith Jr. are already better than these two scums.

Tank Commander Boban needs a solid 25-30 mpg protecting the rim!

If we just need a place-holder to protect the rim through the last year of the tank, we already have the 25 year old g-league 7-footer who shoots 40% from 3 on the summer league squad. Let's give that guy the minutes behind Sengun and there is always Boban if he proves to be too good too soon.

Robert Williams of the Celtics is what you’re looking for in a rim protector ( and a versatile defender)and his team won the East plus lasted 6 games in the NBA Finals vs the Champs.

If we start calling Sengun a "7 footer" like we used to do with Olajuwon who was nearly the exact same height as Sengun, can we end this nonsense?

We're going to be actually playing 2 legitimate bigs on the court together all season for the first time in years. The micro ball BS is over and with it the micro ball problems are over for the most part.

Dream was at least 2 inches taller with a huge wingspan (7’6) and the exceptional timing/instincts for blocking shots. It’s a gift for sure more than being simply big. But I do agree with your micro ball point, they simply can’t coach it. So they need to scrap it.

Tanking means sucking for a higher draft pick. We don't have our draft pick after this year so how could we plan on taking afterwards?
