I can honestly say most of what you are alluding to is from the Player Development Coach and not Silas. Silas may or may not have had some input but Green, Christopher and KPJ worked with Lucaa and I know Sengun started to improve after he worked with Olajawon.
All I've ever said is you do not have to tank 3,4,5yrs plus to complete a rebuild, especially when you have another teams draft picks. I would like to see the Rockets make the Play-In Game but I just don't see that under Silas.
I don’t understand. It’s been 2 seasons, you just said it takes 3,4,5 years so why put the expectations on a play in game if it hasn’t even met the minimum for your period of a rebuild?
I want to see improvement as a team, not just individuals improving on their weaknesses. After adding 2 + defenders in this draft, if the defense does not improve to say 20th from dead last, that is on Silas. We’ve added 7 draft picks, 1 of which looks like a superstar, one that looks like a perennial dpoy candidate, one who looks like a young Pao Gasol, and one that looks like a young Eric Gordon, six man. Eason early on, looks like one of the steals of the draft at 17, much like Sengun last year. Then there is KPJ and Tate which were incredible gets. If Silas can’t get really solid improvement out of this group, he needs to go.
I think there absolutely is a method to it all, that method revolves around being bad enough to continue to get one more top pick. I think the FO is doing ok, most likely if they had Paolo as #1, they didnt want to pay the price to move up since they likely believed that a combination of Jabari plus being incrementally worse with him would net them a better shot at the first pick next season. This team is bad by design, and will continue to be bad for at least one more year.
lol what a revisionist history check senguns gamelog he played 30 minutes games every single month starting from October and he also played 5 minutes and 12 minutes games every month regardless of number of fouls hes had back then people cited stamina problems whiteknighting for silas because it certainly wasnt the foul trouble... silas did nothing to help develop sengun if nothing he regressed under silas and would do much better if sent to g league to play real games cause playing 6 minutes a night not posting up and chucking 3 pointers is not a playing experience sengun only played like 15-20 real games where he play kinda full game of at least 28 minutes shame on silas and his apologists alike
this team being bad by design doesnt mean silas is not a terrible coach...you can absolutely be bad and have worst record but still exhibit a good coaching
If reading and comprehension is not my strong suit, well it must have been something you never obtained. I clearly stated that I do not agree with some of Kyrie's view points but I think he is highly intelligent......I hope you understood that? Because we are saying the same thing. And how is drafting a good player in the middle or later part of the 1st rnd rare? I just gave you several examples or did you not comprehend that either? Probably not since you think the only way to obtain good players is to tank, year in and year out.
LOL you keep telling yourself that, buddy. We are most definitely not saying the same thing. The fact that you think we are is truly hilarious. It's rare because it rarely happens. That's what rare means. You gave me 2 examples and that's several now? I guess you don't understand sample size either. Here is the thing... for every Kawhi, Giannis, Jokic, or Rashard that you want to name, you have HUNDREDS of players no one ever remembers. Go down the list of the top 100 players in the NBA (doesn't matter whose) and see where each of those players are chosen. Here is a hint, the overwhelming vast majority are chosen in the top 10. How do you get a pick in the top 10? By sucking / tanking.
It does not take 3,4,5 years to rebuild? Give us an example b4 acting that rando numbers u throw out r facts. What team after losing their superstar to free agency Bounce back to compete in just 2 years?
Our very on Houston Rockets! They traded Moses Malone and had the worst record in the league. Picked up Ralph Sampson in the draft and the following yr they drafted Akeem Olajawon. Within 2yrs they were in the playoffs.
One SL game is all it took to start panicking, overreacting, and calling for peoples heads. This is puro ClutchFans in the flesh.
When there are fans actually believe Lionel Hollins will be an upgrade to their team's current head coach, that's beyond pathetic for such franchise.
