This was so much fun! Old school Rockets fans... I highly recommend you watch or listen to this one. I really enjoyed it.
This is why so many former NBA players are in the media now, they just speak their mind. Other experts and "personalities" sound smart with their analysis, etc. but former players like Mario, they just call out people BY NAME. He's definitely old school so some might agree or disagree with some takes but he's not trying to be agreeable with everyone, he's just talking
Wow!!!! Where do I begin… Big, big thanks to L and Dave for doing this. So I’ve been a Rockets fan since 81. Good times, bad times. Great wins, big losses. Championships, Finals losses. I’ve seen so much. I’ve LIVED this team for over 40 years now. I say all of that because man, the nostalgia and feels are kicking in big time. This interview was so real, so raw and it blew me away. Laughed often, teared up a couple of times and enjoyed it throughout. Being on this site for so long I’ve seen and read so much. I’m here multiple times a day for so many reasons. Sometimes we agree, argue, fight, or come together for common loves/reasons. I’m not sure @Clutch gets the credit he deserves for giving all of us this outlet. To me, he started it all. People have broken off over the years, and gone there own ways. Some looking for their own 15 minutes, some we’ve unfortunately lost in other ways. Still, this site and many members have stayed for so long and there are many reasons why. The main reason being that this site is still by far the best. This podcast with Mario is one of those things that make it the best. With all I’ve experienced on this site, I think this pod was by far my favorite. If you haven’t listened, you’re missing out. Mario just gets it on all levels. Basketball, life and how he has navigated both. I’m also convinced more than ever that when the time is right, he needs to be a coach on this team. He’s the perfect combination of experience, relating to people on all levels, work ethic and just having IT. I know I went off on a random rant, but that’s how this pod made me feel. I could write so much more about what I just watched, but you should just watch for yourself. I think we need to have an interview, same format with Max. We would get the same type of gold. Thank you so much Dave and Lachard.
Amen, and amen! People complain about Clutchfans. Granted, the culture has changed a lot. But there is still no sports site better than here. It would be super cool if Elie and Cassell were coaching the Rockets.
