Achebe,

    LOL

That was one of the funniest things I've read in awhile. Not offence intended by what you said and all, cause if it was me, the conversation would probably go something like this:

    me: Hi.

    Rudy/CD: Hi.

    me: Bye.

    Krause is fat. hehe.

Oh you guys crack me up....

    me: Never mind.

You said Jerry Krause is fat. hehe.

    Achebe et al,

Impressive stuff there-- I'm glad you got the chance to talk to some of the Rocket's coaches and players. Well, I guess we learned from the Sloan comment that all the $%#*& being said on the ESPN2 broadcast about Stevenson taking up the starting guard spot was B.S.

Langhi had a great game.... I got annoyed when players who can't shoot the ball from outside kept putting up the rock. Give it up to the hot hand willya pleaaaaaase? I'm wondering however, if you matched him up with Walt, who'd win? Who's better? Who's a better fit with our current lineup?

alright..enuff questions from me.. later ppl.

"I then went up to Carroll Dawson. At first (this was after the game) he was talking on the phone reading a stat sheet to the person on the other side. He kept complimenting Langhi he's 6'10" and can put it on the floor with either hand and then he interrupted himself when Coach Sloan walked by..."

Interesting, but possibly disturbing comment. Interesting if he was talking to Indiana about Croshere. Possibly disturbing, OTHERWISE!

    University Blue:

That concern went through my head as well, but then CD said something else on the phone:

CD: did they show Rudy T alot on ESPN?

That made the conversation sound more familiar and less personal. Hopefully he was just talking to a player or friend.

    Chuck04:

no offense taken. I was glad that snot didn't start falling from my nose while I was talking to those guys. [IMG]

p.s. Mrs. Dawson is hot. Is she a new (younger) wife?

I thought Langhi looked pretty unstoppable. The thing that impressed me the most was his shot selection. He waited for the game to come to him and then when he was on fire he tore it up!!! Langhi needs to some bulk up and get a little quicker. I believe if he can do those two things he will play a major role with the rockets.

p.s. Rashard Lewis will be playing here in Houston sooner or later!

Why were Cuttino Mobley and Rashard Lewis 2nd round picks? Why was Harold Minor a first round pick? Who knows?

I think Langhi must have been on Clutchfans, because a year later, despite having been a total stiff in real NBA games, he had the ego to demand a trade*. Only someone drinking the DD KoolAid would have displayed such delusional chutzpah. No idea where he ended up after his time with the Rockets, but he's a good reminder that Summer League stars can be deceiving.

*Speaking of the trade demand, if anyone can find the Chronicle article or the Clutchfans thread that mentions this, please share with the rest of us.
