What about all the Christmas kids movies?

 

Coco had Christian characters in it and no one complained that I can remember (except maybe Christians who didn’t think it was Christian enough).

 

My point is to show that that split-second kiss is important.

 

Yes it is important to bigots. Is it okay to call them bigots? As in people who hate and want to censor groups of people who are in said group for a birth trait out of their control?

 

OK. In the same way that a split-second kiss between a mixed-race couple would be "important" if a significant portion of the population is offended by it. Yes, it's important, but it would sure be nice if it wasn't.

 

What about Aslan from The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe?

 

There are lots of Christ archetypes in movies and fiction. They aren't necessarily Christian, though. A lot of them go back to an archetype that was around before Christ, like Tammuz in Sumaria or Mesopotamia (?). People argue that Christ is just another example of the dying-and-rising god archetype. Either way, that story, that character only follow an archetype and isn't explicitly Christian.

EDIT: I think the author of those books was Christian and did intend for that character to be a Christ figure. But I never watched the movie and didn't read the books or researched the author. Did he also write the Alice in Wonderland books? Nope. Wrong guy.

 

If you want to make a cartoon for kids you have to consider the parents don’t want any adult topics in it
If your cartoon for kids is banned in many countries that must mean many countries don’t find it suitable for their kids
Nobody is banning minions
And nobody banned the other toy story movies

Disney thinks making a gay person kill the predator is going to make money and it would be fabulous for society
But fail to realize rehashing the same plot and swapping it out with lgbt person
Is not going to make profits because people have seen it before including the lgbt community

Encanto has a 5 second scene of the main character's grand mother getting married in a Christian church.



It's longer than the quick peck in Lightyear, yet I don't remember any uproar from people wanting to 'cancel' Encanto for Christian indoctrination. The song is even nominated for an Oscar.

 

Christians are cultist. It is ok for them to lie, cheat, steal, HATE, and KILL in Jesus' name...if the person doing it says they are a Christian and believes in what other "Christians" do. When you accept Trump as God's messenger, then you really have issues.

 

Who decides what is an "adult topic"?

Which countries? Do you think those countries had a good reason to ban it? And if not, why do you care?

I don't understand the thinking in boycotting a movie because some super-religious folks don't like it. They are free to not watch it, and they have plenty of other options. It doesn't impact my desire to watch it in the slightest.
