I hope the same people complaining dont find out about all the times Bugs Bunny wore drag.

Theres also a same sex kiss scene in who framed Roger Rabbit. Its kind of a big plot point and very drawn out.

Can someone explain to me what is the conservative gripe with this Lightyear movie? Is it seriously just that scene of two women greeting each other with a kiss, lol?

 

The split second kiss and the fact that solid conservative Tim Allen* isn't the voice even though it's been well explained. But mainly... it all ties back to woke Disney.

*Disney did hire Allen to star in the Santa Clause Christmas series

 

I'll see it with my 5 grandkids (age range 4-14) when they come visit later this month. And, if circumstances permit we'll head over to Disney parks for a few days.

ETA - just realized it will be on Disney+ while they are here so we can watch it without heading to the theater.

 

Actually, upon further thought, the main reason is the lesbian kiss scene isn't long enough for complainers to masturbate to. (Except for perhaps @tinman)

 

The lesbian kiss says a lot about the people who made the film. Some people think it says good things about them, but some people think it says bad things about them. Most of those judgments would flip if they showed a split second shot of Buzz Lightyear reading a Bible or of him wearing a crucifix under his spacesuit. It is what it is.
