Free agency in the NBA can become somewhat like college recruiting.

Going hard after a player can make a big difference.
Also if a player wants a certain team that makes a difference.

CD needs to be ready to hit the trail come July 1.

He needs a short list of targets and he needs to go hard.
Also TMac needs to be enlisted to recruit immediately.

Get the short list of PG and C ready CD, hey go ahead and contact the agents (hopefully you are already all over this)

You want Mark Blount, Brent Barry, Fisher, Foyle?

Go hard and quick. Get your team JVG.

Let's strike while the TMac deal is hot.

McGrady did say he would help the Rockets in the FA recruiting process so that definitely helps.

When did he say that? I assume he would help....but I dont remember reading him saying those exact words.

But there lies the beauty of having Tmac and Yao on the same team. For YEARS we are going to have a leg up on other teams in the FA derby!
Ah, it's good to be the King! :D

He said it in the ESPN interview.

There are dfinitely going o be some good players that want to play with us. That trade exception helps a ton too...

I just think if CD knows who he wants or who JVG wants
and they go hard now, we have a distinct advantage.

throw in some recruiting by TMac and we can pick our player.

sheed is going to demand and near maximum contract, and he is on the downside of his career already. sure he would immediately help us... but in the long run?
