mass shootings happen all the time…Deb can be posting 5 of those a day

5 shot, 1 dead is a regular Tuesday in this country

not until it’s a mass killing do people go “oh sh*t”

And it keeps going. Two shot at a church in Alabama. The sad thing is that since this was less than four people shot it technically doesn't count as a mass shooting.

A suspect is in custody after 2 people were fatally shot at a church near Birmingham, Alabama, police say

(CNN)Two people were killed and one injured Thursday when shooting erupted at a small church meeting in a suburb of Birmingham, Alabama, police said -- the latest gun attack to unfold as Americans tried to go about their daily lives.

A suspect, who was not identified publicly, is in custody, said Capt. Shane Ware with the Vestavia Hills Police Department. The surviving victim is being treated at a hospital for injuries, he said without detailing them.

The attack on three parishioners at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Vestavia Hills happened during an event dubbed Boomers Potluck, the Rev. John Burruss said in a written statement. It was reported around 6:22 p.m., Ware said.
"These are the pillars of our community, and I cannot begin to fathom how painful this is for our entire church, and the larger community," Burruss said.

I don't know what way you took it but yes a mass shooting is officially defined as four or more shot. We've gotten so numbed to firearm violence that a tragedy like this doesn't even count as mass shooting even though three were shot with two dead at a church potluck.

As the thread title says "Another Day, Another Mass Shooting" . Nearly every day in this country there is firearm violence and there are many days when there are more than one mass shooting happening.

Police (or a parishioner) should've shot the shooter pushing it above the threshold.

You wonder how a young white male could be filled with so much hate that he decided to just gun down innocent people enjoying and celebrating the 4th of July. Too many people in this country with guns is just a recipe for disaster. Without that that semi-automatic weapon or whatever he used to rapidly fire 25 shots or so to gun down people from a rooftop like a twisted psychopath that kid wouldn't have been able to kill and injure so many.

I hate gun freedom policies so much. People are wired different these days, and there are far too many hotheads, racists, and psychos able to buy guns legally.

    heavy police presence…still happened

    they haven’t even caught him

Will he be another one taken in alive, or will they shoot him 60 times?

Will he get Chick-Fil-A on the way to the precinct?

I let my son go to a parade this morning with a friend and their family. Could happen to anyone. I guess it’s just simply the ******* price you have pay to be different than all other countries. Keep marching on until the next shooting!!
