I dont know if he should be the first option on offence or not. WTF is offence. As far as running the offense goes, I think it should run through Yao.

Begin the offense with Yao in the post,
But run the majority of your plays for TMac

In other words, get start early with Yao
    Work TMac free and often

The ball needs to be touched by those 2 alot

    Keep feeding the hot hand

Find out who is your 3 &4 option is

All of a sudden we are a great offensive team.

    1. If Yao gets a deep position in the post he should get the ball.
    2. T-Mac can do whatever he wants and shoot whenever he wants. The guy should have complete freedom to operate. He's not as selfish as Kobe, so I don't see a need to restrict him in any way.
    3. Both Howard and MoT can generate offense on their own. I don't think we should keep both of them, though, they are quite redundant. Both are decent offensive forwards with poor defense and no rebounding skills. I say we keep Howard and trade MoT.

    4. Here's what's being grossly overlooked: T-Mac is so big that he demands the bigger swingman on the opposite team to guard him. That will usually leave Jimmy-J, who is strong as an ox, against a smaller oponent. For example, we play Detroit, Tay Prince takes T-Mac, you think JJ will have trouble posting Rip Hamilton? It's so much better than last year when we had the smallish Cat.

I can't wait the season to start...

Yao is first option. That does not mean he'll take the most shots or be the leading scorer over the course of the season.

Start possessions with Yao. If he's got a mismatch and exploits it, the offense will come easily and the team can play with more energy on defense.

McGrady should be able to feast on fast breaks, slashes to the weak side on offense, and open jumpers.

If JVG gets everyone to buy into the system and the unit gels, we could have a terrifying squad on our hands.
