everything negative I thought about Morey shows even more in Philly. The guy had basically east contender and dumped this whole squad to recreate the Rockets, with a better center and worse/older everything else. I don't understand how he expects to go past Giannis, Boston, and Miami not even talking about finals with fat and glass-made Harden, Pringles, PJ, and all of the ex-rockets ways past their prime. Not even talking but ref changes that see James Harden suffer more

 

then why does almost no team want him?

 

that is conjecture, not a fact + injuries are always part of the game. there is always some injury on every team. Remember when the Warriors lost KD? Rockets were in full strength then. And Harden didn't win still.

If you think CP3 looked healthy at all that year, I dunno what to tell you. And that team was terrible. We lost everything due to penny pinching cost cutting Tillman. Harden dragged those corpses to the playoffs by averaging over 40 a game for months. Dropping 30 on every single team in the league. Unsustainable. Especially in playoffs cuz all they had to do was send a trap and double at him. The rest of the team was utterly useless.

 

They weren't contenders and they're still not contenders.

He flipped Ben Simmons and 2 picks for Harden. And, he turned a pick into a good 2 way guy (Melton) and is signing a few retreads with cheap exceptions. The Sixers weren't going anywhere with Ben Simmons on the team. Harden was an upgrade and the other guys fill some gaps.

Morey's biggest skill is filling out the rotation with minimal assets. Tucker is old AF but they got a guy that can play in a playoff rotation without losing assets. Morey's biggest weakness is not understanding chemistry (roster turnover) and only thinking about the next season. He gets wrapped up in the percentage likelihood of a pick panning out. He forgets that Maxey was the 21st pick, Melton 46th, Tucker 35th, etc.

They literally lost by a bounce to the championship raptors 2 years ago. Didn't Morey take over them a year later? Of course they were contenders

 

That was the 2019 season and that was the 2nd rnd. The 2020 season they were the 6th seed and got swept in the 1st rd. That was the year immediately before Morey came.

Again, he's no savior but I wouldn't say he's run some juggernaut into the ground either. They're a 2nd round team with or without Morey.
