I’m trying to list all the PPGs leading their NBA teams. I mean, there’s CP3 and there’s and there is really, who? It’s an irrelevant role in today’s League.

Sengun is simply not a point guard but I do like his playmaking skills and overall vision. Great maturity for his age and a good team player as well.

    We agree that we disagree.

Calapari is all about winning and if TyTy is the better point guard then Cali
would have played the best point guard at point guard.

TyTy at PG would have given them another scoring threat at SG,
if using your logic. Coach would have done that. I think you
are making excuses for TyTy. But everyone is entitled to
    their opinion.

You are still one of my favorite posters.

Yeah, I don't want to hate on TyTy.

He's a Rocket now. Hope he improves as Kenyon and Christopher have.

Shot selection and opponents discouraging him from driving way too
easily were an issue for me.

If the Rockets truly liked TyTy, they would have taken him at #26.
Instead they were saying, "we don't mind someone else nabbing him."

so you do think a pointguard is a smaller guy that pounds the ball a lot, endlessly and needlessly?

You can look at this another way. When he recruits players he gotta be promising them playing time. So he had to play them both or one out of position to make it work.
Calipari seems to being having a history of underutilizing his players. Murray, Maxey etc. maybe he has no clue what he's doing.

Cal may over recruit but he knows what he’s doing; ok, with the talent flow through Lex Cal should be Title John.

How many can do it all???

Not necessarily. A point guard like Magic Johnson did exist. Point needs to be able to set up and lead the offense. Hardly turns over the ball with really good ball handling skills. Smart... coach on the floor type player.

Isn’t that because they already had a point? I believe he set the team record for assists when he started at the one.

I wasn’t a fan of the TyTy pick. I also wasn’t a fan of having three first rounders.

So you prefaced your statement by admitting you have no idea what you’re talking about if you haven’t watched him play ;)

    Exactly.
We have both do what’s the issue? You have to have as many good players as you can get to win big. I don’t get the either or attitude on this board sometimes.
