Okay, I'm with you on the point that Gobert was often left out to dry by all the bad defenders around him... Based on what? KAT, Edwards and D'Angelo Russell are terrible defenders and they're going to play the most minutes. I mean, I guess Pat Beverley is pretty goo--what's that? Oh. Well, at least Vanderbilt... Gobert went from a team prioritizing offense and ignoring defense to...a team prioritizing offense and ignoring defense.
Not all, but they also traded away Jarred Vanderbilt in the deal, who was also one of their better defenders. How many of their good defenders do you think they can dump, while retaining their bad-defense stars, before the overall team defense (aside from Gobert) suffers? Also, the Jazz were the number 10 rated defense and you just waxed eloquent about how the bad defenders around him left him exposed. You can maintain a solid defensive rating in the regular season when your defensive-minded reserves get decent minutes--but in the playoffs the minutes for those reserves evaporate and if the starters playing with Gobert are bad, he's right back to the same situation, right?
brilliant! but not many people gonna appreciate this because they tankers in heart...grass is always greener and future picks equals championships....
Meeting in a few w/ Harden.Send a note to him NOW at sixersfansloveharden@gmail.com .He will receive.Show him how much we want him to remain in Red&Blue! Spoiler LOL Y’all remember these?
Dude got overpaid. The guy is a good player, but he isn’t a max player, lol. He was maybe worth 125 million for 5 years. This seems like an overspend. I could probably count 10 or more players at his age or younger that I would want instead of him. He is around Jalen Brunson level and people thought Brunson was way overpaid.
I'm sorry... but oh dear. A franchise that has recently had LeBron and Kevin Love has given the largest deal in franchise history to Garland? I can't help but think it is too much $$ Trying to keep together the team that just missed the playoffs??
