How about trading EG + KMJ + Nets pick/Sengun for Ayton? I wouldnt pay max but may be 25 mil/yr gor 4 years.
You have got to be kidding me. Stop with the Ayton. I wouldn't sign him out right. Sengun is probsbly already better than him. He's just as bad on defense and he benefits from playing with the greatest PG.
No Ja either. Grizzlies played better without him. And he won't last. Dude is a major injury waiting to happen cuz he plays with no regard for his own body. Pass...
Lots of factors go into being a better player. It really isn't talking out of my ass. Gotta factor in the big picture. Deandre Ayton is not a max player. Why would anyone want to pay him that? Sengun on a rookie deal is better than Max Ayton. it's like trading for Westbrook or John Wall. No one wants them at their max contracts. But they are better than lots of PG. But if you factor in situations and salary cap. He's terrible. i also firmly believe Sengun will be better than Ayton. He's already better at creating his own offense. What is Ayton even good at? Dude is mediocre at best and has always been. Never trade for a center who plays with Chris Paul. CP3 makes them all look a lot better than they are. Sengun is a big unknown. He could be great. Why would you give up on that for someone who is average at best.
Rockets gets: Eric Blesoe POR 2025 1RP (lottery protected?) 76ers get: Eric Gordon Josh Hart Blazers gets: Tobias Harris OR Rockets gets: Maurice Harkless Justin Holiday Trey Lyles Suns 2023 1RP 76ers get: Eric Gordon Dario Saric SAC Future 1RP (lottery protected?) Kings gets: Tobias Harris Suns get: Richaun Holmes
I think I'd prefer Holmes over a Suns 2nd round pick. Perhaps that pick might go to the 76ers and the FRP to Houston in your second deal? I don't see the value for the Rockets in that scenario. They are basically sending out EGO for a 2RP. I like the moving parts - 76ers definitely want to move on from Harris
Are you saying the Suns late 1RP is the same as an early 2RP? The EGO for the Suns late 1RP seems fair unless you think he is worth closer to a mid 1RP. Since 76ers are giving the best player I figured they get the more likely better 1RP.
Rockets would buyout all expiring contracts they don't need for the upcoming season. So buyout Dallas expiring contracts except Boban then do either trade and repeat buyouts. I believe that's possible as max roster spots are 18-20 during offseason.
Kevin Durant+KMJ to Toronto. Scottie Barnes to Houston Houston returns Nets assets+Bucks pick to Nets along with FRP via Eric Gordon trade. Toronto gives up 1 frp to Toronto. Birch+Young+Filler to Brooklyn. Sengun/Garuba Smith/Eason Barnes/Tate Green/Gup KPJ/TyTy
Ok this one option. As that would be more ideal next offseason because of that. Say the Nets traded Durant/Irving for mostly picks and cap space. They tank this year because they will get that pick or the rockets which will be a good pick. Then next offseason they trade for their picks in a 3 team deal. They could receive their picks back while trading some of the picks acquired from Durant and Irving and Rockets receive a player at the position of their choosing and need. Lineup PG Scoot or Anthony Black - TyTy SG Green - Christopher SF Barnes - Tate PF Jabari - Eason C Sengun - Garuba Something like this... Full rebuild in 3 years. I don't know how you would pay all of those guys contracts down the line though.
It is definitely a bit of a hedge. We still get a 2023 pick to either trade or keep and I just think pretty highly of Barnes.
That's the haul we got for superstar houston Harden when the picks were much worse value than they are now. Even if you think Scottie has a lot of untapped potential, this is still a huge overpay imo.
