"insanely conservative" = neo-conservative All of the rest of her kind, including Bill Kristol and the rest - TDS afflicted, never-Trumper's all - are all in with the Democrats now.
She's pro 2nd amendment, she's pro the overturning of Roe V. Wade, she's pro tax breaks for big businesses, she's against increases to education, and the list goes on and on.
Liz Cheney has been more of a Conservative than Trump ever has been. For that matter she voted with Trump 90% of the time including to not impeach in the first impeachment. Apparently storming the Capitol was too far for Cheney and unlike Graham and McCarthy who spoke out against Trump that day Cheney has followed her convictions. This is just more sign how much the party isn’t a party of principle but about loyalty.
She opposes their god though. Its a mafia party like the AKP in Turkey or Orban's in Hungary. No principles besides owning the libs and doing what Trump says. I get why people liked Trump the candidate- a conservative who wasnt religious opposed to increased trade, immigration, and foreign entanglement. I dont get why, 7 years after he descended on his escalator people are still so enamored and why not one GOP politician has figured out how to emulate what he did. Just call Trump out on missed promises, call out other GOP for being cowards and run as a macho real man who will not only stand up to libs but also deliver where trump failed
How hard is it to find someone who says "Trump dudnt deliver. Im a steel worker, former marine, and I go to church every Sunday"? It's less like people want policy and more theatrics. In which case, we're truly lost.
So if being a true Republican means accepting the lie and that Trump and his team know is a lie about the election being stolen, then let's make sure it's out there in a clear cut way. It seems like that's the case, and it seems like @Commodore and @MojoMan accept that. If they have other reasons why Liz Cheney isn't a real Republican/conservative then I'd like to know why? Is it because she supports Democracy in the United States and abroad?
Sorry. You might have missed the testimony and evidence. Numerous investigations, recounts, by different agencies including those aligned and by people appointed by Trump showed there was no mass fraud. Trump was told that in person and writing. That's just evidence. It isn't a lie. You haven't presented one thing that shows that to be a lie. This comes from Trump supporters, not never-Trump Republicans or Democrats. I welcome anything you can provide to counter the evidence submitted under oath.
Also both Kemp and Raffensberger knew GA wasnt an issue. GA was the site of a contested election and both are about as blood red as you get.
But yeah its not a delusional cult leader with equally delusional followers. COVID,2020 election, and J6 is a massive international conapiracy between every othher county, Republicans, Democrats, Antifa, the CIA, FBI...
Yes, and they ordered investigations of all the claims. That went along with various federal investigations as well.
seriously, everyone else looked they had a head injury shortly before walking on the stage. I do know a handful of republicans in Wyoming and they can at least form complete sentences. And this is who they got?
There are several candidates like that including the Marcus Flowers the Democrat running against Marjorie Taylor Greene. Again though given that Trump, who didn't serve in combat, a wealthy East Coast Billionaire, ran and won as the champion of blue collar middle America shows it isn't about background. It's about ideology and trying to own those you think are opposed to you.
I've been working my way through Season three of The Boys and they make a great example of this attitude that it's about ideology and getting at your percieved enemies. Spoiler Here you have Homelander who himself says that he isn't like the rest of you. He's a Superhero who had an affair with an actual Nazi. Yet his popularity goes up because he "tells it like it is" and he says that "he's fighting your fight" when he's not doing anything like that
He wont win that district with a D next to his name. I dont get it lol. In my hometown its all Republicans. We have "(hometown first)" party thats affiliated with the Democratic party. But voters like them and vote fir them because they dont associate them with the DEMON-crats
Exactly. It's about ideology. That Marjorie Taylor Greene is so wrapped up in it is part of the appeal for many even though she has accomplished nothing as a US Rep.
Everyone loves our 4 term mayor...but they vote solid red. I think most dont realize she's a lifelong Democrat
A friend of a friend runs "Dem" elections in South Dakota. Basically, they run independents in most of the state that are Dems in all but name. Its interesting though...the Native reservations have been gerrymandered too so they cant even vote in a rep. We not only should expand the house of reps; but because native lands vote but are basically seperate entities from the states they're in...they should get their own reps.
