this summer heat is outta control and real disrespectful seems like it gets hotter every year I touched my steering wheel and got 2nd degree burns did some grocery shopping which included a steak I was gonna make today, and on the way back to the house decided to slide into CVS real quick…car was off for 5 minutes…Tell me why when I opened the trunk when I got home, I saw a well done steak smoking in the back? counting down the days until Fall
Its insane here. I love the other 3 seasons in the South but the insane heat and daily storms are a lot.
I took the dog out for his walk this morning and almost started shivering in the 72 degree temp with lack of humidity.
I love walking my dogs…it’s a calming and relaxing activity for me…dogs sniff around and do their thing while I listen to podcasts, music, watch YouTube, or even watch games on my phone These past few summers tho? It’s more like a chore…air at night just feels hot and stale with the slightest hint of a weak breeze as the only comfort
Man this heat is killing me softly with the energy bill. I have never used over 2000 kWh hour. Just switch over to a new energy provider and its over 200 kwh. Just last month only used for 9 days and it was $90. This month its $343. Probably due to the drought as well but this is crazy.
Active Systems Name Max Wind Classification Lat Lon 9 40 mph Tropical Disturbance 12.1N 72.3W Disturbance 9, also referred to as Potential Tropical Cyclone Two by the National Hurricane Center, is located near 12.1N and 72.3W, or just northwest of the northern tip of the Guajira Peninsula of Colombia. It is moving westward at 21 mph. Disturbance 9 may be classified as a tropical storm later today as it strengthens over the southwestern Caribbean. The possible storm is predicted to make landfall over southern Nicaragua as a strong tropical storm Friday afternoon. The chance of tropical development is 90 percent over the next 48 hours, increasing to 100 percent over the next week. Please see our latest advisory for more information. Other Disturbances / Areas to Watch Disturbance 11 is associated with a trough and weak area of low pressure centered near 26.5N, 96.5W, or about 105 miles southeast of Corpus Christi. Thunderstorms remain disorganized and are located to the northeast of the weak low pressure center. We expect the disturbance to push slowly to the northwest to north-northwest today and move into the Texas coast near Matagorda Bay tonight. The disturbance could briefly develop into a tropical depression just before moving ashore tonight. Regardless of development, the main impact from this disturbance will be from locally heavy rainfall across the coastal counties of the middle and upper Texas coast later today through Saturday. The chance of tropical development remains near 50 percent over the next 24 hours before moving fully inland. Disturbance 10 is located along 53W, or about 550 miles east of Trinidad, and is moving to the west-northwest at 20 to 25 mph. Thunderstorms with the disturbance remain disorganized. The fast forward motion toward the west-northwest over the next several days will likely limit any development. We expect the disturbance to track across the islands of the eastern Caribbean, including the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico on Friday and Saturday with increasing thunderstorms and gusty winds. Even if this system manages to cross Cuba into the Gulf in about 8 to 9 days, conditions appear to be unfavorable for development. There is a 20 percent chance of development over the next 48 hours and over the next week. Disturbance 8 has dissipated over Central America and has been removed from our analysis.
So hot out there today! I don't see how those construction workers can work outside without getting heat stroke? I'd be dead and probably on the first day. "I appreciate you guys!", I say as I drive by in my air-conditioned car.
