QUestion: IF Jerry Buss offers unconditional surrender to the Chinese Government and Yao
basically. . saying YAO can name his price and terms in LA

Would Yao and the Chinese Government not at least give him a listen

I would love to dismiss all this. . but . .well Orlando Dismissed
all that SHAQ to LA talk too [i know i know different CBA etc. . but
it bothers me nonw the less]

Laker fans make me sick. Just like Shaq himself, the Laker fans have this sense of "entitlement". And that really pisses me off! They feel that they should get all the great players, everyone wants to come to LA, yadda, yadda, yadda.

It would be nice for once to see LA get into trouble like NY has with bad contracts and such.

    Enough with the Lakers!

Yao is going to stay in Houston. Stronger than his sense for capitalism and showbiz is his sense of honor and loyalty. He will get the largest NBA contract here in Houston and will be loyal to the team that drafted him.

Assuming things go well, there is no reason for Yao to leave Houston and his team with McGrady.

Let the Lakers go after Eddy Curry instead! :p

i might be wrong...but i think that everything is up to Yao now. He has already given(and prob still is) $ to China. I can actually appreciate his loyalty(not simply defecting ie. that other guy lol can't remember his name!!). Yao will go where he wants to...hopefully here. If not(@%@#%^#%^) good luck to him.

Okay, so I admit I read on delusional post there:

    Then:

    Los Angeles sends:
    Shaq - $29,464,288

    Houston trades:

    Yao Ming - $4,436,880
    Maurice Taylor - $8,450,000
    Cato - $7,992,000
    Weatherspoon - $5,899,400
    Jimmy Jackson - $2,475,000
    Total = $29,253,280

They could easily end up without Kobe, Shaq and Dirk. They better set their priorities right - Yao ain't going no where.

My god these guys are scary. They actually think the McGrady deal is what is going to start the Shaq for Yao deal. The the ridiculous thing is that they think the Rockets are saving that trade exception to eat up Shaq contract in their Yao deal. So the Chinese government wants Yao out of Houston, Yao wants out of Houston, Yao suddenly loves LA and the Chinese government is going to keep Kobe out of jail. This is the height of panic, delusion, and desperation!

How in the hell do they end up with Dirk? If Dirk is in LA then Shaq is in Dallas, no way those three are on the same team. Kobe also came out and said that he had no interest in playing with Nowitzki.

If Kobe said that he is an idiot. Why would you refuse to play with talented players like Dirk? And I think he meant the Lakers could end up not keeping/acquiring any of those guys, not that the Lakers could blow a chance to have all three of them at the same time.

I stand corrected :D I missed that "without" part. Call it T-Mac Blind Rage Syndrome. As far as Kobe goes, ESPN ran an article over the weekend, which I'm sure is still up, and it was reported that Kobe did not have "interest" in playing with Dirk. Talk about wanting the spotlight to yourself.

The could end up losing Kobe via FA and Shaq in a trade ....yet still not able to land Dirk. That is what I mean't.
