This is pretty major. Adding weight that quickly and maintaining top tier athleticism like he did at Auburn is spectacular. He very easily could fill out into a Giannis/Hakeem type build.

He also looks great going against Paolo as well.

His floor is AS and his ceiling is greatness. Love his game and probably getting a Jabari jersey soon.

Nobody has said he will not be good I have no idea why when you talk about players' weaknesses it means you think they will not be good.

How did you galaxy brain that people are saying he will not be good?

Can you show one example of this?

I have watched his replays from Auburn it shows he has a very basic dribble package.

He has an extremely unique skill set that is very effective even without the ball. When he does have the ball he doesn’t pound it into the court either.

Another thing I’m curious about is how his rebounding will be in the NBA. Obviously, his absolute rebounding numbers were impacted by Walker Kessler but his defensive rebounding percentage was actually HIGHER than Kessler (23.5 v 22.2) and 3rd overall in the SEC.

His offensive rebounding percentage was an absurdly low 3.3% which kind of skews his overall rebounding numbers.

Also nice to see Tari so high up the rebounding percentage leaderboard at #9.

Yeah I have watched Dirk play I watched the Mavericks when they had Mark Aguire.

I have been watching them since they were an expansion team.

I don't have an issue with any of what you said you seem to think that have don't think Smith will be a very valuable player.

Let's look at what I have actually said about Smith and stop acting like I think he will be a bust.

    Wait wut?

What does him shooting a higher % from 3 have to do with anything, Dirk was so much more than a 3 point shooter.

Can you imagine how much more they would have won by if he could dribble drive to the expectation of Paolo fans?

    :rolleyes:o_O

The W is all I care about.

Give me the elite shooting 2 way player any day of the week and TWICE in the playoffs.

I never thought that post was for me I was just pointing out the fact that nobody has said he was not going to be a good player.

So your post made no sense.

If anyone is one dimensional it's Banchero who has more serious questions about his 3P% and defensive effort/consistency.

I'm more worried how our offensive scheme will be. If we're not running any forms of triangle sets with KPJ/Sengun/Green/Smith or double ball screens with sengun/smith, I want heads to roll.

You really want to go there? Dirk's FG% as a rookie was .405 with a TS% of .491. Yeah he was so much more than a 3pt shooter.

I'll be very surprised if Smith doesn't do better than that in his first year. (BTW, Jabari isn't just a 3pt shooter either. Have you even watched the clips?)

I have no idea what you are trying to accomplish here?

This has nothing to do with the original post, I have no idea why what Dirk shot from his rookie year is even a topic.

Ok, so Smith will shoot better than Dirk did his rookie year.

    So what?
