Your post promoted an article that insinuated that because it was trending on Twitter the other day, the progressive caucus was to blame.

Then you dig deep and find something unrelated from 2014 from a black congressman. Yeah… nice try.

As I said as a congressman or woman you shouldn’t be going there with Clarence. There are a million other issues you can focus on. Black people though if they want to address Clarence Thomas on race they should not be silenced or mocked.

So yes I still think your promotion of misleading articles shows your bad faith and your attempts to troll and propagate for the GOP.

enlighten me. Is it because the author is himself an Uncle Tom?

or is there some more substantive flaw in his essay that I'm missing?

George Washington U. Rejects Requests to Stop Justice Thomas's Co-Teaching of Law School Class

George Washington U. Rejects Requests to Stop Justice Thomas's Co-Teaching of Law School Class
    by Eugene Volokh

Prof. Glenn Reynolds (InstaPundit) passes along this e-mail from the GWU Provost and Law School Dean, which I applaud:

Dear Members of the George Washington University Community,

Since the recent U.S. Supreme Court ruling to overturn Roe v. Wade, we have heard from members of our community who have expressed feelings of deep disagreement with this decision.

We also have received requests from some members of the university and external communities that the university terminate its employment of Adjunct Professor and Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and cancel the Constitutional Law Seminar that he teaches at the Law School. Many of the requests cite Justice Thomas' concurring opinion in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, in which he called the substantive due process doctrine a "legal fiction." Justice Thomas has been a consistent critic of the Court's legal philosophy on substantive due process for many years. Because we steadfastly support the robust exchange of ideas and deliberation, and because debate is an essential part of our university's academic and educational mission to train future leaders who are prepared to address the world's most urgent problems, the university will neither terminate Justice Thomas' employment nor cancel his class in response to his legal opinions.

Justice Thomas' views do not represent the views of either the George Washington University or its Law School. Additionally, like all faculty members at our university, Justice Thomas has academic freedom and freedom of expression and inquiry. Our university's academic freedom guidelines state: "The ideas of different faculty members and of various other members of the University community will often and quite naturally conflict. But it is not the proper role of the University to attempt to shield individuals within or outside the University from ideas and opinions they find unwelcome, disagreeable, or even deeply offensive."

Just as we affirm our commitment to academic freedom, we affirm the right of all members of our community to voice their opinions and contribute to the critical discussions that are foundational to our academic mission.

I like it...let your inner hate burn through...Ginni does seem like a lunatic though so I doubt there's a conflict of interest there.

Good for them. He should still be allowed to teach as far as I know.

Lol, your post was a combo-breaker for the postgasm from our resident moderate Democrat who was going for the consecutive meaningless posts in a row record.

I have a hard time taking him seriously, no one is hating on CT because of his color, its because he is a sorry judge who now allows his personal views (and his wife`s) to cloud his judgment......

    Political positions[edit]
Owens has said his views were liberal upon leaving the NFL. During his 2020 Republican primary campaign, he described his current views as "very conservative."[26][3] In June 2019, Owens provided testimony to a United States House Committee on the Judiciary subcommittee opposing a bill that advocated reparations for slavery.[27] He has also criticized U.S. national anthem protests and Colin Kaepernick.[28] In November 2019, Owens called Donald Trump "an advocate for black Americans".[29] On January 6, 2021, he voted to reject Pennsylvania's electoral votes for President-elect Biden.[30]

At a June 1, 2020, Republican primary debate, Owens said Democrats in Washington are held in thrall by Marxists and socialists. He said, "The days of Ronald Reagan and Tip O'Neill are over. We're dealing with people who hate our country". He also said the Affordable Care Act should be repealed and that he supported President Trump.[31] Later on in the campaign, Owens changed his stance, saying that coverage for preexisting conditions should be protected, and that he did not support repeal of Obamacare.[32][33][34]

In a candidate forum in October 2020, Owens said the country's top economic need was to reduce business regulations and make tax cuts. He also stated his opposition to a minimum wage increase.[35] When asked about the need for bipartisanship, he responded:

The first thing we have to do is make sure that the Republican Party gets control again... We're at a point now we just cannot afford to go off the cliff and allow a socialist to actually take the lead now... We have to be honest about this. There are truly people who don't love our culture and do anything to destroy it and transform us into something else.

A black Republican politician representing Utah and a member of the LDS Church.... and divorced to boot?

I am sure he is quite familiar with being called an Uncle Tom.
