Well it won't really matter. What we do doesn't impact those picks. Unless you want to get really nitpicky and suggest winning games against Brooklyn then.losing against other ECF teams or trading Gordon and Tate east. The answer is as it has been. One more season and then we should really look to marry the positive data and players that we have with tangible upgrades.
TBH you should hope both the Nets and Rockets are bottom 5 next year, bottom 3 is even better, so that we can have a 28% chance of pick number 1(280 combinations) that would be even more than the old lottery numbers percentage 24% or 25% IIRC was the old numbers.
Should they? Probably. The Rockets should definitely be more competitive this season. Orlando, Detroit, Indiana, Washington, New York, Houston, OKC, Portland, Sacremento, and the LAL all missed the play in tournament. Some teams will have to be at the bottom no matter how much they improve. The Rockets might finish with a bottom 3 record again, or they could end up picking somewhere in the 6-10 range.
