If this situation sours even more, eventually the nets will come to the conclusion that they need to rebuild and use KD to replenish their draft capital. What an amazing turn of events for Houston.

have to laugh though. The nets didn’t do enough to understand Kyrie? Lol

No, but they do have a line on when Simmons will hit his next 3 pointer. I'm feeling pretty good with my wager on November of 2025. :)

The Nets, Kings, and Knicks are the worst organizations in the NBA.

I've believed this from the very beginning. The ultimate goal was tanking and getting top picks. I'm not mad at the deals at all and now with the Nets imploding (crossing fingers) it appears that it was well worth the gamble. We have so many young guys, just wish ownership would continue investing.

Need new facilities, shooting coaches, actual legit defensive coaching, etc. Need to not to be so cheap so these young players develop.

And additionally, he got extended for 4 years 100 million dollars immediately thereafter. I think it makes a lot more sense to add all of this talent through the draft then use our cap room to acquire the players we need to fit around the talent we've located. Doesn't make sense to commit 100 million dollars to a guy when we've got no other guys and our only plan is to acquire assets and build on that.

People have been saying this for the last 1 to 1 1/2 years. We were told no. Should have got Allen, ben simmons, etc.

With Wall on the team and the timeframe of his contract coinciding with the years you could get high picks ending the same time as Wall's contract. It was obvious what route you should take. It's not as they say rocket science here.

Can we reunite Brodie and the Cupcake on one team??

Silver, git it dun. I'll watch a game on espn instead of streaming it and pretend nothing is rigged.

I don’t think Brooklyn would completely collapse as Durant is going net them mountains of picks and assets.

Brooklyn getting draft assets is great! They in a sense will be looking to replace their picks. Their record will still be trash.

If they set out to trade Durant and Kyrie for pieces to put around Joe Harris and Simmoms to compete then great.

Celtics aren't trading Jaylen Brown for KD as an example.

This is go one of three ways. Either Brooklyn deals Kyrie and the moves are enough to keep KD happy or Brooklyn deals them both. The alternative I guess is them playing out this one year and it NOT being issue free.

The collapse is on and I imagine we see it over the next 30 days.

good on the Nets for sticking up for themselves and trying to regain control of their franchise

u can not reward this Trojan Horse with a long-term deal

How are u gonna destroy the company, barely show up for work, and then ask for a raise?

OKC and Orlando and the Kings and Charlotte have been doing that for close to a decade now.

I agree not sure we will be good enough to swap. They can’t just get picks for Durant and Irving so they will be getting some fairly hefty salaries back which usually means at least pretty good players, but it does look better for the 2024 and 2026 picks.

Over the last 15 years, Charlotte has finished on the treadmill of mediocrity 13 of 15 years. Kings have been there about 8 or so years with at least a decade from a season-long tank job. OKC is in year three of the tank.

I'd rather be in OKC's position.
