Great point, but wrong decade. Early 2000’s, my guy. Does that make anyone else feel old?

EG can stay but there isn't enough playing time to develop all the players. Also want to move him to contender for a chance to win a ring. There are other veteran on the team too. Maybe we can keep Boban.

    PG: KPJ, TyTy, Nix, Burke
    SG: Green, Jaygup, Brown, Queen
SF: EG, Tate, Eason, Mathews, Nwaba
    PF: Jabari, KMJ, Chriss
    C: Sengun, Garuba, Boban

I think we're early on this thread. Lots of unknowns...

    - What happens to EG, KMJ, Nwaba, Wall and Dallas acquisitions
    - Our FAs
    - FA we might sign

With what we know now, I think that the bold names below are our starting 5 to begin the season. I also believe Silas has a lot more flexibility with this group of players. For example, I could see JC running some 1, Garrison at 2, Eason or Tate at 3, Smith at 4 and Garuba at 5. Probably not something we'd do often, but if we need a defensive push (without sacrificing much offense) and wanted to trap this lineup could be fun to watch. If we want to roll out an offensive onslaught, we swap Mathews for Tate and now you have 4 long-range snipers with Sengun passing out of the post.

Hope we can pull off a few deals. EG deserves a chance at a ring.

    PG - KPJ / Nix / TyTy

    SG - Green / Christopher / Matthews

    SF - Tate / Eason / Mathews / Queen

    PF - Smith / Eason / Garuba

    C - Sengun / Garuba / Boban

    PG - KPJ, TyTy, Nix
SG - J Green, Gordon, JC
    SF - Tari, Tate, Matthews
    PF - Jabari, Martin
C - Sengun, Potential FA, Garuba

Too many bodies. A trade of Gordon and either Tate or Martin is needed. I prefer to keep Martin unless Tate has truly improved his shot. Nix and or TyTy, as well as Garuba, will likely start the season in Rio Grande. Summer league and training camp will likely be the deciding factor.

If I'm not mistaken we have the following 19 players on the roster.

    C Alperen Sengun
    C Boban Marjanovic
    PF/SF Jabari Smith Jr.
    PF/C Usman Garuba
    PF/C Marquese Chriss
    SF/PF Jae'Sean Tate
    SF/PF KJ Martin
    SF/PF Tari Eason
    SF/SG Eric Gordon
    SG Jalen Green
    SG Josh Christopher
    SG/SF David Nwaba
    SG/SF Sterling Brown
    SG/SF Garrison Mathews
    PG Kevin Porter Jr.
    PG Daishen Nix
    PG/SG TyTy Washington Jr.
    PG John Wall
    PG Trey Burke

I wonder who are locks to be on the roster, I know they have 16 GTD contracts(includes the 3 1st rd picks), plus Burke has a $3.3M Player Option.

I know KPJ, Green, Sengun, Garuba, Christopher, Smith, Eason, & Washington aren't going anywhere

I hope they keep Tate, I saw some of Mathews, but not enough to make an evaluation, I also hope KJ stays.

Wonder if we actually sign anyone in free agency, and I wonder if any of the Dallas players we acquired will be here.

This got me pumped for NBA 2K23, I have 2K22 for Switch & PS4, hoping for some good offseason rosters to hold me over until 2K23 comes out.

It's only nonsense until it happens.

Jabari was nonsense until about 2am the morning of the draft.

Trading for Artest was nonsense at the time, same with Harden and Dwight.

    And CP3.

    Then RoCo.

Wish it stayed nonsense with Westbrook.

The takeaway here is that Rockets need to trim down the roster so trade(s) MUST be made to maximize play times.

I'm hoping I see this line up
PG - Josh Christopher / Tyty Washington
SG - Jalen Green / Mathews
    SF - Tate / Eason
PF - Jabari Smith Jr / Garuba
    C - Sengun / Boban
That's still a lottery team which I'm fine with because they get one more player in next year's draft to be a playoff team in 2 years.

Many of you expect that next season SENGUN will be our starting Center.
So I have looked at last seasons records.
Most consider that having worked out all the off season SENGUN will be playing
    30/31 mins a game.
So we should expect at a minimum performance of :-
    13 points / gm
    F.G.% / gm 49.0%
    3pts shooting / gm. 32%
    F.T.% / gm 75%
    Rebounds / gm 7.5 / gm
    AST / gm 3.4 / gm
    STLS / gm 1.2 / gm
    Blocks / gm 1.2 / gm
    Turnover / gm 3,0 / gm

Did he get a qualifying offer? Wasn't he one of the 2-way contracts?

I think those are realistically the low side numbers for Alp.
I’d expect higher rebounds, assists and less turnovers.

    P.G. - TyTy Washington
    S.G. -Kevin Porter Jr
    S.F. - Jalen Green
    P.F. - Jabari Smith Jr.
    ..C. - Alperen Sengun
For some reason i just see KPJ at the shooting with TY TY leading at the point allowing porter and green to be free to cut and slash or just spot up and shoot.

I hope we keep both and trade EG. Also trade Matthews or split up all his minutes between everyone else. Play him only if we're desperate for shooting. I feel like Silas held KJ back with an inconsistent role and minutes. He's still young and improved his 3pt shot just like we had hoped. Also love his high-flying putback dunks that fired up the team and crowd. If I remember correct, he was always in the lineups with the best +/-

He still has a lot of untapped potential.

The most important thing is Silas learning how to stagger minutes and not just after some media member suggests it.
Green and KPJ should never be sitting on the bench at the same time.

None of the Dallas guys will be here probably all bought out. Burke and Wall will be traded or bought out. TyTy will definitely start in RGV and maybe even Tari. We will probably sign a backup center and trade KJM but it’s not a lock.
