So we are going to make him the focal point of the offense and have a large percentage of plays run for him?

JG only averaged 18 and he had the green light and control of the ball.

Can you walk me through how this happens and the team gets better?

What guys did they pass on like Jabari or Chet?

The last time they had a pick above 4 was in 2013 and that was a terrible draft and they drafted one of the best guys in Oladipo.

    HE’S 19!!!

He has an elite skill to go along with his size, and it’s possible for him to develop other aspects of his game. And yes, if you are an elite jump shooter that can get your shot off then a jumper isn’t a bad shot for you.

Yes, he's 19 but what does that have to do with being so poor at dribbling?

other 19-year-olds can do it at a high level and most guys drafted at 19 in the top 5 can do it exceptionally well.

We don't know if he will be able to get his jumper off at a high level in the NBA which should give everyone pause.

I believe that's what they said about Jalen. Smith will improve just like Green did.

We shall see. We get it…you are concerned with his ability to improve his dribbling. You’ve made that quite clear in like 50 posts lol.

They said what about Jalen Green that he had no dribble drive game?

No, they never said that, he just needed to tighten up his dribble that's a lot different.

We are talking about creating instead of improving.

I am replying to posts by people like you that's why I have talked about it in 50 posts do you not understand how a forum works?

I am not creating threads about it.

What's your point? just not replying?

I think the likely outcome is somewhere in the middle.

He probably doesn't develop into an amazing creator for others BUT improves a bit across the board. I think he will improve more in regards to creating or generating his own off the bounce.

Personally, I'd still prefer Paolo. If your level of belief in Sengun, Green and even KPJ is high though, Smith makes it easier for those guys in a lot of ways.

I understand just fine. You’ve driven that point home.

I had two points in our multi thread exchange.

    1. You’ve made it clear on how you feel on the dribbling. We get it. We hope he can improve.

    2. A jumper isn’t a bad shot for those that can make them.

Only 50 posts is being generous methinks.

@jiggyfly and @Yung-T have clearly picked this hill to die on.

I'm just going to enjoy the journey, it's been too long since I've been able to say that.

2 seasons of non-competitive no hope basketball has seemed like an eternity.

I’m going to go out on a limb and say the 6’10” guy with a super quick release and range to halfcourt will be able to get his shot off pretty frequently even without an amazing dibble-drive game.

Competitive loses vs non-competitive loses are 2 different animals.

Smith us truly a unique prospect. Obviousl I was head of the Paolo Pals but I have come around to be more than fine with this.
