Revoke 21st Amendment too. Let’s re-ban alcohol. Tobacco and caffeine too.

(maybe I would want live in St George, UT?)

Republicans used their power to steal a seat and Democrats did went pretty crazy over it. Now, you can argue the voters allowed Republicans to do that.

But this is a bit different than just stealing a seat. 3 recent sitting Justices mislead at best Congress and the American people. Let's remember that the SC is not above the people. When it goes too far off-ramp, the Constitution provides mechanisms to correct it. Congress and the Executive have the power to reshape and reform it and should exercise that power if Americans give them the power to.

It was actually Mitch McConnell when it came to the courts. Trump just happened to be an opportunity for McConnell and others who had been planning for decades to take over the courts. Trump legislatively had a very checkered record. He got a big tax cut passed but again that was something Republicans already would do anyway. He got criminal justice reform and CARES Act 1 passed primarily with Democrat help. He got an updated NAFTA passed that largely was the same as the old NAFTA. On issues that were specifically his such as the Wall he failed to get funding passed in a Congress that Republicans controlled. He and Congressional Republicans failed to get the ACA repealed. After Parkland he proposed more gun control measures that were stymied by Congressional Republicans.

why is it that generations of liberal courts making liberal decisions is somehow "normal" and "legitimate," whereas conservative courts ruling in conservative ways are somehow not normal and not legitimate?

The Republicans didn't take their marbles and go home in 1973. Nobody talked about court-packing, or term limits, or impeaching justices. Instead, Republicans worked in a non-violent, disciplined, and organized way for 50 years, within the system, to achieve their political aims.

Democrats need to put their big boy pants on and grow up

I know many hate hearing it again but to overturn what has been a decades long effort by Republicans to control the court takes a decades long effort by Democrats. Democrats have to try to win elections at all levels.

Impeach them for perjury during confirmation proceedings. Problem solved.

I still come here after all these years because I enjoy the conversation. But when that enjoyment dies, why continue to stick around?

Then Republicans will pack the court at their next opportunity.
