    Probably the Nets

Right, I assume KD is gone if Kyrie decides to leave. They can't get a equal level player for Kyrie because of his lack of availability. So, draining a desperate Lakers team of their remaining draft picks is probably the best option.

Let's be real, the Nets got swept in the 1st rd with KD and Kyrie available. They have no chance with another team's cast offs instead of Kyrie. They would be better suited moving to a rebuild.

wouldn’t be surprised if the Nets actually improved without Kyrie

his constant nonsense just drags down the team

the team was 14-15 in the games he played this year, and he was atrocious in the playoffs outside of game 1

Nets probably kick him to the curb with no hesitation if KD wasn’t so attached to this dude

Kyrie isn’t even using his play or level of commitment/desire as reasons for BK to give him the deal he wants, he’s leveraging his friendship with KD or having Woj saying he’ll take 6 mil from the Lakers on national TV with a straight face

If nets get any semblance of decent value for kyrie they will be a great team with a healthy Ben Simmons and Durant. Does Durant want to do that.. who knows?

Hopefully kyrie leaves and so does Durant and they they get a ton of future picks back in return, that would be best for us

This is probably the most exciting off season in decades. Given the way that information flows in the modern era there is never really this type of shake up at the top of the draft like we had, and we end up with the guy who was expected to go #1 overall. Then we have Kyrie with his hand on nuke, literally could change the face of our franchise depending on what he decides to do. KD potentially on his way out as a result, I was surprised this thread was not at the top the last few days.

Ben Simmons has not played in what seems like years. I do not think he has the ability to just bounce back and be productive. I think hes getting back from surgery now, so who knows what that rehab will be like and if hes got the drive to get through it. They also don't seem to have the right coaching staff to handle this situation either.

Right now, Kyrie has a player option for big money that he has to decide whether he wants. Since he left $17 million on the table because of Covid, he could do anything.

It is super realistic that he just opts out and walks.

I love that there are no fewer than four separate “[troubled / washed-up guard] as a [underachieving superteam]” threads in the NBA Dish.

All four of these guys (Irving, Simmons, Harden, Westbrook) have direct connections to either the Rockets’ past or future (or both). It is so delicious. A cornucopia of schadenfreude.

I'm curious does Vegas even have an over under on the number of game Simmons play next year or like the date of his next game?

That’s according to ESPN insider Zach Lowe on a post-NBA draft episode of his Lowe Post podcast:

If I’m the lakers I give up AD for KD. Russ, KD and Lebron and a bunch of g leaguers. Personally I hope all teams in the nba suck accept for the Rockets.

Probably not Vegas, but maybe some off shore sportsbooks may have it.

So then who exactly in his life has done enough to understand Kyrie? Because as woke as Nike is, they dont even understand Kyrie and are dropping him. The Cavs didnt understand Kyrie, Lebron didn't understand Kyrie, the Celtics didnt understand Kyrie, the Nets don't understand him either. Of the teams on his list, only the Lakers or Nets sound like they would be desperate enough to sign him at all. The other teams were successful or will be this year without drastic change, so I don't see them taking the risk on him.

If nets don't resign Kyrie that are a badly ran team, but that is good for us since we control their future until 2028.

Because Kyrie can help you win a championship, Clippers, Heat, Mavericks and 76ers are not beating the warriors and Knicks just want to make the playoffs and maybe get to round 2.

Wait until the moratorium is done on that second Harden trade from Houston. That is going to be a 30 for 30 that follows the effects of the OKC Harden trade and makes it looks a trade of late 2nd rounders.
